Hey guys! thanks so much for are your prior help. I would just like to know typically how long it takes to get the NOA2 from both I-130 and I-129F?? I got NOA1 from I-130 about 4 months ago and the I-129F about 3 months ago. I have not been touched since I received the NOA1. Should I contact the USCIS? A couple other questions:

- When should I send the affidavit of support? When does that come into play?

- When should my husband start collecting information for packet 3?

thank you so much everyone!!!

Well, you are going through the Vermont Service Center. The processing times are longer than what you have waited. I looked at your timeline and I did the similar timeline search and the other person hasn't received the NOA2 either. I am not trying to be cold. I haven't been waiting as long as you have since I filed the petitions. I have just been watching. Your timeline says that between 60%-85% of the people who filed when you did will have had that petition processed by and the date range it gives is:

"Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between August 21, 2008 and September 14, 2008*."

"Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between October 13, 2008 and November 21, 2008*. "

The affidavit of support depends on whether you are in the US or out of the US on how that is handled. The beneficiary will get a packet of information and I am not sure if you will too... I am not sure 100% how this part works... but then the petitioner either goes before Consulate officer or a notary with the affidavit and it is either sent in and/or brought to the interview. I hope someone else clears this part up better because I have seen several people ask this question and didn't see the answer.

I personally would start collecting the information as quick as possible and that is probably why you are asking, but I wish we could have someone who is from Egypt and has been granted the visa tell you the timelines you have to have it close to submitting it. I think the police report is good for 1 to 2 years.. but like with the pictures having to be within 30 days of submitting it, is there a timeline like that??? I don't know. I will be interested to see.

You seem to have been around this longer than I have and honestly, it probably wouldn't hurt anything to call and inquire about things, but I wanted to share with you what I guess is obvious. I appologize if what I say is redundant cuz it really doesn't help much. I wish you the best and I am curious to find out the answers to your questions! Best wishes!
