Hey Platypius....heres a bible verse for you. Revelation 22:18-19 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

I write this because that little story you told seem to add alot of stuff that was not said in the bible and you seemed to be making a joke out of it and its not funny & I can assure you, most of the people on here do not find it funny.

If you knew anything about the history of how the bible came to be in it's modern form, you'd know that many people added to it, and often more importantly, took from it, to serve their particular short term ends. The bible did not magically appear in it's current form a couple of days after the original Easter.

If anything its many of those same liberal idiots whom have more Christian authority to cross the pearly gates thanks in part to living more Christian lives instead of seeking absolution for selfish sins in a life full of self-gratifying, neighbor-trashing idiocy... but that is not to be debated here since there is a little bit of every side in each of us and making broad generalizations is in itself yet another sign of a feeble mind grasping at the very ignorance and intolerance that disfavors good mental health. Claiming favor with God, either out of idiocy or out of spite is quite 'blasphemous' in itself, don't you agree?

I wouldn't say most people saw fit to attack you. A couple people did (were those really a surprise?), but a lot of Christians didn't even comment on this post. I read it and just moved on. And for comments like "sigh" or what Caro wrote, I hope you don't think those are attacks on you. The other outrageous posts, I agree with you. But not on those. So how can you say most attacked?

I think if you want it to be a discussion, you should say "I would like opinions on what I am posting" because some people will just see this post as a random attack on their beliefs and might get defensive. I agree though that in anger isn't the way to discuss things.

I'll add this...it is not 'unChristianly' to be upset. And if you really wanted to get a discussion going, posting a story which essentially mocks the intelligence of Christians isn't the best way to get the ball rolling. But I'll reiterate, the majority of responses were not attacks.
