Good morning everyone, hope its a good day for all

yesterday it was 109 here, hoping for a 30 degree cool down but not holding my breath.

Pineapple princess is sick and now I feel a sore throat coming too but maybe I am just psyching myself out, I dont know. I guess I'll have to lay on the couch and drink coffee and think about it !

So I'm walking to my parents house today and this sweet, super friendly, no ID'd hyper yellow lab comes bounding up to me. She just wants some love & attention and follows me to my folk's house. Apparently she stayed somewhere around there and started pestering my dad. The guy 2 doors down said he saw a girl w/ a big tattoo on her arm (that would be me) walking w/ it earlier.... ummmmm, no, it was following me.

Anywho, as I'm driving up from the grocery store (frozen items in hand) dad brings this dog over to me to drop everything I've got going on for the day to go find the dog's owner. I put my frozen stuff away leave everything else in the car, get my dog's leash & collar and go walking around knocking on doors (like I had time for this... NOT). No one recognizes her or claims her, so I bring her home to my house for a while to get some water and figure out what to do w/ her b/c I CANNOT keep her.

WTH do I do now??? I don't want to call animal control. She's really sweet, but I can't keep her.

Or call the local animal shelters and see if they have people that give temorary homes, etc? Foster homes for doggies

Lots of purebred dogs have "rescue" groups dedicated to the breed. That could be of some help...

omg it hurts to type.

*somebody* thinks that "we" spend too much money on "nothing" , i.e. trips to here there and everywhere, clothes, etc. so I agreed to compromise and we've spent this whole weekend in the backyard getting the deck ready and planting petunias, tomato plants, cilantro, mint, flat leaf parsley, basil, jalepeno peppers, yellow peppers, chives, sage, rosemary and then pruning the fk out of whatever those flowery bush things are in the front yard.

We also nailed a couple of latices to the top of the deck railing for privacy. Here's where the big ruckus starts.................*someone* wants to drape flippin SHEETS along the lattice and the railing for privacy. My opinion is that this is wicked TACKY but apparently not so in Cairo or Alexandria. *I* would rather hang things like an outdoor barometer or little sayings like you find in craft stores.

Going shopping for new patio furniture and a gas grill once my 4 extra strength tylenol kick in.
