Anybody knowing any sites or any good ticket agents to buy air line tickets for upcoming vist to India..

From Chicago to Mumbai and later connecting to Ahmedabad...

Early august or in mid august...

Don't forget to check fares directly at airlines' website. I recently found best fares for S'pore and Cathy Pacific directly on their respective websites. Those fares did not appear in any of the major online sites such as kayak.com, sidestep.com or makemytrip.com.

Is that www.globetravels.com for reals god, I was looking at it, and it says Chicago to Bombay, only for $480 the lowest..........gasp and that too Air India, while Air India's official sites gives the same route for $900.

I hope its for real, would be really nice to get a price like this when my husband travesl, thanks for the site

bani ... in August .... the fare should be around $900 OW Incl Tax .... with a 1 month early purchase Now, if you can't make the flight for whatever reason .. i don't know if you can extend it ?? meaning.. i have seen that 2 people’s appointment got moved by Chennai embassy … if that happens.. I don’t know how much Air India charges to change the date … I think its $100 but I am not sure …. still cheaper that booking 2 weeks b4 the trip …now you can change the date WO penalty on Gulf Air …subject to seat availability …. But GulfAir has long lay-overs, flight changes …. And usually expensive that AirIndia… now I have flown Air India in a Year…. And I like it …. Their service changed a lot ..recently … still poor compared to Emirates and Qatar

I think, Air India charges around $125 to make changes in the date.. My cosusin brother paid $125 in India just last month on date changes.. But for me.. Air India is the one that helps..since we need connection from Ahmedabad to Mumbai and than to Chicago..

I'll give you some options of avoiding Shivaji Airport entirely (which you may want to consider):

• O'Hare->Heathrow, connecting to AI from Heathrow->Sardar Patel
• O'Hare->CDG, AI flight CDG->Patel
• O'Hare->Heathrow; Emirates Heathrow->Dubai->Patel

(note: I didn't list websites, only possible routes)
