I am thoroughly pi$$ed off. I was sick for my biometrics last friday and called to notify USCIS. I tried several times to get ready to go and I was too nauseus with a killer migraine. I spoke to a lovely agent who told me that I could go in on a wed between business hours to do it. I went on Wed and was told I could not do it. I told her that I was told by the agent that I could and the woman at the biometrics center said that it was incorrect and I had to write to USCIS and get a new date.

I went back and forth with her arguing and was appalled at the way that I was treated by her. I asked for her agent number and she laughed and said that I had no power to ask that with other nasty retorts implying that as an immigrant that I was lower in status than her... I went outside of the center (the security guard stood beside me at that point...like I look like I could kick the big fatso womans ### at my weight of 115 lbs... ) and called USCIS. I was told that I could do it but that they had no jurisdiction or over-ruling power over the biometrics office.. What the heck? Aren't they the same government entity? I am sooooo annoyed at the situation. Just a warning to everyone. Don't assume that you can just walk into the Fort Worth office and do your biometrics on a wednesday.

yea unfortunatly the jerk officer was right and the nice lady cust rep at uscis was wrong.. if you miss your appointment for biometrics by more than 15 min or that day doesnt matter if you are sick traffic jam from hell flat tire they don't care at all you have to call to reschedule a new appointment OR fill out your appointment letter requesting a new date and mail it to the office listed... It sux it happened to me... I feel for you but that just the way those jerks opperate... I was only 5 mins past the 15 min mark and they make me reschedule (it took me a month to get another appointment) and I also went to the fort worth location...... They are reall a$$'s I had to deal with them....... I like the officers at the dallas office though they are real nice to deal with treated you with lots of respect....

It has to be something about Texas, most of the Texans I met in the military were loud mouths, rude, and inconsiderate. But they were not nearly as tough as us farm boys from Wisconsin as we are accustomed to working hard in anywhere from sub zero to super hot weather conditions. But we were brought up to be nice and polite and so are the people in our USCIS office. We went in late, better late than never and took care of us right away.

Ha, should be one more requirement for president, not from Texas, either republican or democrat, think about that guy that shares his name with those wax people and them bushes. Like that loud mouth spoil brat kid sending young girls to fight his war while he is flying all over the country trying to find a safe place to hide. Not my idea of a leader, all hot air, no wonder why it's so hot in Texas.

Wow, buddy! That's terribly sweeping, don't you think?

USCIS' 1-800 number is not called the "mis-information" line for nothing

There are a lot of offices that do not allow walk-ins. Sorry you had to deal with such a crappy officer.

I think the double frustration has to be the worst. First being refused and then being treated rudely. It probably would have been a different scenario if you were treated respectfully in the first place. Thanks for the heads up warning. I wouldn't believe anything that USCIS office says...
