First let me qualify myself. I don't drink or do drugs and I have no history of mental illness. I have actually seen 3 with one sighting consisting of 2 together. The sighting I am going to recount is by far the most dramatic so I am going with it. Got that out of the way, so here goes.

In May of 200 I was driving a Rig across the Great Salt Lake Basin, heading east on I-80. I knew that there was a Military Test Facility located nearby because it was listed on the map. You really can't tell though because the place is desolate. It was about 3am and I had been driving for 5 hours. This was and still is, standard operating procedure for me. Driving a Rig at night is much easier due to the lack of traffic, heat and several other reasons. I do not believe fatigue was a factor because I had long grown accustomed to the rigors of cross country travel. Anyway, I was being followed by another rig but my C.B. was broke and he was probably too far back to witness what I did. What did I see you may ask? It was a triangular object rotating slowly on the side of the road. The sides were only 3' apiece and it had an approximate depth of 1'. It was very small in other words. It was actually rotating on the yellow line and at the same time I realized what it was I had switch lanes to avoid crashing into it. As I passed it the object fluttered a little and disappeared.

Today I researched that area a little and came up with some interesting facts. I am not the only one who has seen unusual objects in that area. The name of the facility is Dugway Proving Ground. Here is a link to the Wiki page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dugway_Proving_Ground

This is the part I found most interesting:

Alien speculation and Experimental Aircraft Testing

Following the public attention drawn to Area 51 in the early 1990s, UFOlogists and conspiracy theorists have suggested that whatever covert operations, if any, may have been underway at that location were subsequently transferred to DPG.[2][3][4][5][6][7]

The Deseret News reported that Dave Rosenfeld, president of Utah UFO Hunters, stated:

“ "Numerous UFOs have been seen and reported in the area in and around Dugway...[military aircraft can't account for] all the unknowns seen in the area. It might be that our star visitors are keeping an eye on Dugway too...[Dugway is] the new area 51. And probably the new military spaceport.[2] ”

Additionally, the nearby Michael Army Airfield has been called the "new Area 51" by some, with the Dugway Proving Ground serving as a buffer zone, as the Nevada Test Site served for Groom Lake. One frequently rumored test project is the Lockheed Martin X-33.[5]

So that's about it.

NOT ONLY NO BUT HELL NO! We are the only dominant living life being force in this world or universe as we know it! There is no other life forms but Man from Earth. AND not one person can show evidence contrary to this!

I know I do.

haha. I drink and have used drugs in the past. I've never seen one. :)

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Interesting information.

Yes, the military does things that are against human rights, and ethical conduct with chemicals. This is our government. They do things that are harmful to us, and don't take any liability. One of these days, I will stage a protest against the white house and demand some actions taken.

Mathematically it would seem at the least highly improbable that in a space so incredibly massive that it goes beyond conventional mathematics - that we would be the only planet with life (or advanced life).

Whether or not there is any compelling evidence is really irrelevant, given that we know very little about this (monstrously gigantic) galaxy, let alone billions of others.

There's a book that tries to quantify, mathematically, that life exists elsewhere besides earth. I think it's called Probability One, or something like that.

Interesting.

Also when you think that the light that we receive from the nearest stars is thousands of years old - its not really a surprise that our various radio telescopes haven't detected anything.

This news amazed me:

Astronomers Suggest Looking for Aliens That Have Already Found Us

Call it empathetic astronomy.

Astronomers are suggesting a new approach for finding advanced alien civilizations: look in the areas of the sky where the aliens would have the easiest time detecting us.

Just as human astronomers can only find planets that are lined up just-so with our telescopes, prospective aliens from across the galaxy would have the same problem. By searching the thin elliptical slice of the sky where hypothetical alien astronomers could have easily detected earth and its habitability, a Johns Hopkins astronomer argues that we're more likely to find signals from alien civilizations. Richard Conn Henry, presented the idea at the annual meeting of the American Astronomical Society, saying in a release:

those civilizations ... that inhabit star systems that lie close to the plane of the Earth's orbit around the sun will be the most motivated to send communications signals toward Earth because those civilizations will surely have detected our annual transit across the face of the sun, telling them that Earth lies in a habitable zone, where liquid water is stable. Through spectroscopic analysis of our atmosphere, they will know that Earth likely bears life.

Applying the empathetic approach to the search for alien life could focus human efforts on a mere 3 percent of the sky. to me

I had assumed they were already using that approach. I found the statement in bold interesting. Potential for what? Colonization!

While I think there must be life out there "somewhere," I have serious doubts that we've come across it yet. Maybe I'm just not being open-minded enough, but it's hard for me to believe that alien lifeforms with far superior technology (and presumably, a greater intellect) would travel through the vastness of space in order to chat with a few farmers or terrorize some livestock.

What if they've been coming here for awhile now? Perhaps thousands and thousands of years? What if part of our DNA is alien?

If aliens have been coming to Earth for a while now (however long that may be) and mixing our DNA with theirs, then they aren't truly alien anymore, are they? Sure, they wouldn't be human (or any other species native to this planet), but we'd have a number of genes in common with them, so genetically speaking, we'd be more alike than many other creatures normally found here.

Wow. I think that's your shortest post ever!

Yeah, whatever happened to those weird livestock goring stories? They were in the news all the time. Then, suddenly, it was nothing but crop circles. I think they need to start dropping gored livestock into the crop circles to stir up a bit more controversy. :hehe:

I actually did have a much longer response lined up, but then I remembered that the average attention span is abysmal, so I didn't bother. Why put a whole lot of effort into a post when virtually no one will read it?

Unless, of course, their DNA is some kind of DNA seed that mutated (evolved) over the billions of years this planet's had life. In this case it would fit with the planetary species' genetic tree.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
