Wish I had an answer. I'm in the same boat. However, it all depends on the specific situation. I don't think there is a specific timeline. What timeline did the CO give you?

Sorry, just saw your AP was over. How were you notified? Have you contacted the Embassy?

Once they ask for your passport it doesn't take very long, but it depends on the embassy and how busy they are at the time. Usually it only takes a couple of days from the time that they get it, as long as you've also already updated any other paperwork that they need. . .however, as you know, there's always room for variety

My husband is from Pakistan too, went through AP and waiver. . .once Montreal asked for the passport, we submitted on Monday and by Thursday DOS had the visa marked as "issued." We still haven't received it though. . .they aren't responsible for "mail" time. . .
