Ok. So I'm house sitting for two weeks and I'm alone in this magnificant house and it's haunted! I have been so nervous about staying here alone because I don't want to experience anything super natural since Nagi scared the pants off of me with the super natural talk about Ghosts and Demons and Fallen Angels in the chat room the other night.

The owners of this house have told me their experiences with the ghost and the kids which are nearly 7 & 5 have had thier experiences and have names for their ghosts. I asked my friends to stay the night but they chickened out. The owners say its a good ghost but nun the less YIKES!!!

Well, from a Christian standpoint there is no such thing as ghosts That would leave the one alternative for us, and they have no power over you-- only that which you give them. So if it were me, I wouldn't be worried.. but you may like to stay elsewhere and bring some unsuspecting person in with you during the day to check when you'll be less nervous.

True, that sounds like what Nagi was saying but then it got heavy. Anyways I'm here now and everything feels okay but I swear I heard footsteps earlier. Although this is an old house.

BTW isn't Dawn's funeral today and Hatem is going to bypass the surgery for his critical condition to attend the funeral? I wonder how that is going?

In Islam,, arent ghosts same thing as jinn? I don't know what Islam says about ghosts (or aliens for that matter:) but curious

Anyways if I was with you, I'd have a blast in that house. Well, as long as it is not the scarey type. I have lived in a house that I swore was haunted before. But taht was the scarey kind though. Oh yeah and the Amityville Horror house would scare me too if i lived there:)

I think Dawn's funeral is today. I hope everyone that is going has a safe trip. And please send everyone's regards and sympathies to Hatem and all the family and friends too.

I don't think Hatem's condition was critical anymore as someone said he was released-- and they don't release critical people.. but that seemed odd to me if he was in need of surgery-- it could be to correct certain things though.

finally saturday and my first day to sleep in and what do i get, my cat sharpening his nails on the bed at 6am! we are off taking my dog to get groomed and then to the dentist, there goes half my saturday! wishing everybody a great day today!

I don't think Islam takes a stance one way or the other on Aliens. Jinn are another thing seperate from humans. A ghost is a dead human. Although not Jinn... it's like the difference between an elf/fairy or a ghost. One was once human and one never was or will be Jinn existed in pre-Islamic folklore of Arabia and are not present in the Bible at all-- some try to equate demons to Jinn, but it's not accurate as demons are fallen ( who whose evil over G-d) angels, and Islam has angels as well.

ETA: Jinn can either be good or bad as far as I know-- some are Muslim and some are not according to all the Islamic sources I have read.

we have been letting one of my cats (whose never took one step outside) outside for a little bit (of course, supervised..lol)he's really big and i dont think he could even slide under the fence let alone jump and/or climb over it. well he really likes being outdoors and ever since he always will be crying at the door, well its been about 3 weeks now and his poor little "meow" seems a little sickly now. It makes me wonder if he has a touch of larynigitis (sp?). have you ever heard of a cat getting this? other than his sickly meow, he eats, plays and shows no other signs of an illness. i guess the best thing i can do is just to monitor him over the next couple of days before i let the blood sucking vet take a look at him...lol

Good idea....I think he's just being a crybaby. My Tatonka is a first class crybaby and his meow can get sickly when he is tired and cranky, just like a human baby.
