I guess our story is a case of mistaken identity.....

One day while minding my own business at FilipinaHeart.com,(I had just joined a few days before), I found myself being teased relentlessly by Maria and her friends, nothing mean but I could not figure out what i had done.

It turns out it was a case of mistaken identity, see Maria had a friend named Michael, it was not until she clicked on my profile that she realized that i was not the same person, after that she was very shy and reserved, so after many one sided talks, we started to discover that we not only had so much in common, but there was a real bond being forged.

It seems that sometimes a mistake can be a gift, and I was truly blessed that on that day she thought i was somebody else.

Now not only do I have a wonderful woman who soon will be my wife, but i have a chance to be a dad, Portia and Alexa are 2 of the most fantastic kids in the world, that all ways make me smile.

What more can any one ask for? So for me, I am now the one teasing, but a few times on the couch will stop that but until then, I guess I can have my fun.

We met through an online game called Guild Wars. He was my best friend and my rock while I suffered through a bad marriage and the subsequent divorce. He was the light at the end of my dark tunnel. :)

Cool... that is similar to my hubby and me!

Us too, minus the Guild Wars and adding in the toilet paper :)

The toliet paper is so much more cushy than GW! So you were also with a blech guy when you met your now husband?

Well, yes. I was married for 9 years and the last 3 or 4 were just ... not good. But we have kids so for their sake.

He's remarried happily and I will be as well so clearly it worked out the way it should have :)

Hah, well I wasn't married long, but I was with the guy for 8 years and really most of it wasn't good. I just had forgotten what it was like to laugh and smile. Fortunately my sweet Andreas reminded me what that was before I sank into a depressive hole. The guy would go spend every night reading in his truck. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I'm sooooooo lucky Andreas and I found each other. :D

last march 07 when i was having breakfast, 2 ladies and a kid were knocking at my door. the lil boy was throwing up. the first pediatrician they went to was not home. my breakfast was cut short. i looked over the kid and sent him home with a prescription afterwards.

2 days later, the same young lady with a different baby but also throwing up came again..again interrupting my breakfast! this time the lady was accompanied by the rest of the family including the older brother, aunt, cousins and 2 kids. i sent them home with a prescription and my coveted cell phone number.

days later the older brother was sending me messages thru cell phone and when they went back to the US..the older brother sent me emails, called once in a while, asked me for hours of chat sessions..and the rest as they say is history...

Its a trip how much we have in common. I was married for almost 9 years. It was 99 months to the day when we got divorced. My current husband and I didn't take things between us to the next level until I filed for divorce. But we were very close. I have three kids from my previous marriage and they adore their step dad. Its really awesome. We all miss him like crazy!

We met online. I would get real bored at work and cut my skype on to skype me mode and then I would cut it off after two or three guys had popped up. I would talk to them for the night and then move on to new guys the next day. Just something to pass the time. Well one night my hubby popped up. I really wasn't interested at first but I'm usually too nice to just block someone so as long as they are respectful I will continue to talk to them. Which is what happened with us. He definitely was looking for someone as is most of the people on skype but I wasn't definitely not one in the predicament he was in. However, despite the cultural differences we really did see the world the same way and one day it dawned on me he was the one. After much problems with our families, here we are .... waiting for a visa.
