It really annoys me when people type "u" instead of "you" and "ur" instead of "your" or "you're." I don't like it. It makes me want to scream. In fact, I just don't read those posts when I notice it which means that I probably miss a great deal.

The only time I really see it is in text messages. Text messaging is all about efficiency so any type of shorthand is good, but I don't see the need to do it when blogging.
