Are some people NEVER touched until NOA2?

I'm confused by people who are touched during the process and those who are not. I know it is supposed to indicate that somone has actually touched/worked on/picked up a piece of paper and moved it in regard to your file. But do some service centers just never post updates to the USCIS online site and never send emails? I'm tired of checking everyday and seeing nothing. I'm not all that far into the game - NOA was April 4 through Nebraska. Should I just stop checking during the process and hope/wait for an NOA2 in the mail maybe end of next month?

  Sign up for the e-mail notification, if you haven't already.
  That way, if you check your e-mail often, you will see it the same day it happens.
  Since you're going through Nebraska, it should still be quite a while.

We went through nebraska - and had no touches well actually there was a touch only when they got our file a day after NOA1 and the NOA2 was dated 4 May day 66. Hang in there - I used to check everyday too - but then I got myself soo wound up I decided not to check at all till I got an offline from my fiance wishing me happy birthday on the 5th may and also told me we got NOA2 - we have it via email I dont think he has received it in the mail yet. Any yesterday I checked my mail; it seems the file has now been sent to NVC on 8th may. So in answering your question we had no touches

Same here,

I never got touched for 110 days that's when i got my NOA2.

and touched couple times after getting NOA2, i guess when they sent it to NVC

From the timelines on ths forum the verage number of days for nebraska to get NOA2 is approx 64 days so If yu are anywhere near that amount of days start looking out for NOA2 Obviously this is only based on those members filling in their timelines Good luck

Our K1 online file still hasn't been updated with NOA2 approval info and I'm already in the States, so sometimes, it's not updated at all.

I was also never touched untill or after NOA 2! I guess this "touching" thing depends on the immigration officer that is working on your case! Some of them use to touch the cases and some others don't! It's just a thought, but it does make sense, uh?! hehehe

So, don't worry about this... Your approval will come soon!

We got NOA 1 after about 10 days and NOA 2 just two days later. No touch whatsoever. I went through Vermont though.

Thanks everyone - I think I'll stop checking until the first week in June - if all is well and I have any luck, perhaps I'll get an NOA2 around June 6. Boy this tries one's patience and I have nothing to complain about since it's not in CA!
