Hi all,

Our K1 visa was approved and I got the visapack through DHL on Wednesday. The visapack is covered with the yellow envelope with US embassy stamp on its seal and there is a warning outside to not to open the package and it should be opened only in the port of entry. My last destination will be Memphis, and I will have a transit in Washington. My question is: 1. Is my port of entry will be Washington? 2. Do I have to give the visapack in Washington and I will not get through the immigration again in Memphis? Any advices will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

GC approved without the interview after 6 months and few weeks. The case status online is still with the last touch on November 2008. Don't open that website too often..:-)

Congrats on the visa! And you are absolutely right, your POE will be Washington, DC and that's where you will surrend your envelope. Have a safe flight "home!"

The E in POE stands for "entry". Your K1 visa allows for only one entry to the USA, so your POE is Washington.
