I am living in Nova- Scotia and had my k-1 interview in Montreal on Friday the 13th. I got approved and was out the door by 9a.m.

Does any one have any idea when my visa should arrive. I had a 2 day National Expresspost envelop for them so I was under the impression I should have it by now.

I am booked on a flight to PA on Saturday morning. What are my options if I do not receive my approved visa by then?

Can I go to PA anyway and have my parents send me my visa and then just go to the Philedelphia International airport and get the customs people there to activate it or do I have to stay in Canada and change my flight? Please help!

Thanks

~Melissa

If I remember correctly, based on other peoples' experiences, it takes around a week to get your passport back, because they don't necessarily ship it right away (the holdup is the security check, methinks). You're more than likely going to have to change your flight. Sorry! :(

Congratulations! My Joel experienced the same thing...we were scared he would have to change his flight to the U.S. The visa and his passport arrived the DAY BEFORE his flight. Talk about sweating!!!

im glad you made it!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
