OK, so here's the deal. I'm delivering some training for my company and am currently in Spain. But my class is composed of students from all over Europe (so this is not making a statement about Spain!!).

I'm in the middle of lecturing and look over at a student and he has one of his fingers rammed up his nose and is just rolling it in that one nostril. I was soooo disgusted. And it was no big deal to him.

Is picking your nose in public a cultural thing???? And I definitely will think twice about sitting down at his machine and touching the mouse when he needs help. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww

I've been wondering the same thing. I have a friend from Nepal that has no problem picking his nose in front of me in the middle of a conversation. At first I thought it was a one time thing. Then he did it when we were in the middle of the grocery store and I wondered is it a cultural thing. So I kid with him by pointing it out and then saying, "Trade ya the green ones for the brown ones."

I do have to admit when I am out with my girlfriends at a club and some guy comes up hitting on me or my friends and we want him to go away we'll start picking our nose in front of them pretty obvious like and that sends then hiking to the hills pronto! We get a good laugh and we don't have to pretend like we're lesbian lovers which seems to back fire.

Picking your nose is bad but When I went on a European vacation with some friends Ireland, Portugal, Italy, Czech republic we noted that All events happened publicly

Irish tend to pick at there ### & ears men and women .

Portuguese Men Violent Ear pickers and also tend to pick the Asses of their significant other

Italy's Guy's big time scratchers Crotch, chest, ###, neck to chin its like they all have eczema and we noted that they had their significant other pick their nose for them.

Czech Big time nose picking occasional examination of what came out never tasted or eaten simply rubbed on back of pants or dress sometimes on leg of pant or hip area of dress!

Totally subject approx. 20

P.s Me and my friends do all the above expect we either do it privately, in the cut or around the corner, or when we think no ones looking B)

my husband digs up his nose all the time, at home, in public, in the car. it bothers the hell outta me.

in romania even, i seen so many ppl NOT using tissue, but instead blowing their snot right on the sidewalks. omg, i almost puked, and its hard getting edi to stop doing that even here. oh man that was embarrassing to tell

Is picking your azz the same as picking your nose? Well the only difference is when you pull your finger out of your azz the tip of finger is brown.

I don't think picking it is cultural but maybe eating it is. Not sure what culture though or what the nutritional value would be. Then again that would get into crusty vs. juicy.

Another day in Columbia

At the University of Missouri, students are a little "different" to say the least. A lot of the students that come up from the Ozarks teach the rest of the students and athletes about one of the finer Hillbilly delicacies - boogers. Then I guess we should also avoid contact with all brazilians since their country is bordered by the SPANISH! SOUTH AMERICA AND PORTUGAL, even ur ancestors from Portugal are neighbors with the Spanish! my goodness! U should take a look at ur geography before u make a statement like that!. Either way I would rather shake hands with a Spaniard than a Brazilian! At least Spaniards use toilet paper when they wipe their azz! And isn't it quite Ironic that most brazilians have unusually large Nostrils! I mean.. They practically share the same culture with the spanish!.
