POE and temporary work authorization

My fiance just had his interview on June 16, and our K1 visa was approved!!!!! So, after 9 months of waiting, we finally have an approved petition, and should be receiving the visa in 3-10 days!!!

My fiance is booking his flight to arrive here next week, and we're trying to figure out where he should fly through, to try and receive the temporary work authorization. The only POE I've heard of actually giving out the temporary work authorization is JFK, but it's incredibly expensive for my fiance to book a flight through JFK, compared to every other airport in the US!!

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of any other POE's giving out the temporary work authorization. We'll go through JFK if necessary, but if there's a chance of receiving it at any other POE's we would love to try that as well!

JFK is the only POE that does this...maybe consider flying from a different airport nearish to you? My husband got the temp permit, he'll only have a couple of months to work before he has to stop before getting his EAD (which can take a few months). He's working for a temp agency, which for us, has worked out nicely so he won't have to quit a job when the permit expires.

It just depends on if it's worth it to you to go through that trouble and expense. We got a deal before gas prices went up so time was on our side (for once lol!)

This is not true -- JFK is the only one where people have reported that gives it out with consistency. there are other POE's that do give out the stamp, it's just not clear if it's a random thing or not.

this is a link to a thread where we are trying to track this information in one place. You will see that some are listed as 'sometimes'

Idea: use nearest POE (or PFI), and ask for the temp EAD--worst-case, you will get an answer of "no", and it's going to be invalidated before the "proper" one arrives anyway.
