I'm a bit late but congrats are certainly in order and I especially like the fact that you discussed the treatment of the refusal of entry of Jeremy in your review as so many people here face the same problem. If your review assuages the fears of just one person then it's accomplished its mission. Congrats again and thanks for those great pics. Good luck on your upcoming nuptials and I'm sure your honeymoon at Disney World is going to be an E-ticket ride.

Ooo you must be a veteran Disney'er to mention E-tickets lol! yes, those POE refusals are extremely scary & stressful. It was such a relief to have the interviewer actually laugh about it and the POE officer at Port Huron go to lengths to delete the rest of the nasties in there (something about text messages from Marine City that were snagging the computer alarm system, ugh).

3/5/11 sent LOC paperwork

3/9/11 date of NOA

?/?/?? biometrics appointment

Nope, it wasn't too long at all! :D I am jealous. :) I went to Montreal in March and loved it. I wish I was there right now. My husband lives south of there. I am glad all went well and I hope your wedding goes well! Best wishes!!!

Ok I'm a newb to this section but did I just read right that I can have a temp EAD stamp if I cross at Port Huron instead of having to fly in to JFK?

Apparently they do give the EAD stamp at Port Huron. It is a long way around, though, if you are moving just south of Montreal. Just to let you know, a Canadian does not get the EAD stamp even if they do fly into JFK. In Canada, flights ending at JFK go through immigrations in Canada at the airport before they leave, not at JFK - and immigration at the airports don't give the stamp. It is only international flights originating from outside of North America (don't know about Mexico) that go through immigration at JFK.

Does anyone know if they'll still EAD stamp at Port Huron? I doubt it... with all of the recent changes. But, thought I'd ask.

On another note... does anyone know why there's only 1 review for the Port Huron POE? I know people have crossed there before, in fact, I've read about some recently, too. But, no reviews to speak of (other than the 1). Hmmm...

Event Date

I crossed at Port Huron - not sure if I filled out a review or not - I thought I did. Actually, I just looked at my time line - I remember now - they didn't offer Port Huron as one of the POEs listed for review so I entered it under Detroit and then clarified the issue. If you look at my timeline you will see my review for Port Huron:-).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
