Carl's Jr is Hardees in the midwest.

I like InNOut but I don't really east fast food anymore. It makes me really sick.

You really feel it too huh?

Doesn't make me sick as much as slog me down... any time of year.

Nevertheless if the means justifies the end... then I'll try it. I just stay clear of the big chains with non-beef as beef.

Anyone like Fuddruckers?

There was a Fuddruckers (not the best thing to say if you have a problem with Spoonerisms ;)) near where we lived in LA but it closed not long after. Went there once and had Ostrich, which didn't taste all that much different to a regular burger. I suppose most things do taste the same when they're "well-done".

there's a secret to their fries...

I think they use kennebec potatoes which is a must...you cut potato, partially fry it once, freeze them in a single layer, then fry them again until golden

Its just that I prefer substantial burgers... buffalo ones not excluded.

Fuddruckers seems a little more like a meal than a fast food joint.

As for White Castle... only when I was a kid. Now the taste seems like a saltpatty on bread.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

If you ever go to White Castle - don't ever get the iced tea.

Every single time we had to travel to other sites from LA to somewhere on the east coast or in the midwest when I was a traveling chef for wolfgang all the guys would get wasted and order like 30 White Castle burgers.

I blame canola oil for the odd taste and a slightly queezy feeling after eating fried food - which is pretty much why I don't unless I make it myself and fry in sunflower oil. I could be wrong of course, but I have convinced myself anyway.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I will make an exception for home-made onion rings and calamari rings...

but yeah... 'chicken rings' um... no.
