My husband got his CR1 visa (spouse visa) recently. On his passport where the Visa detail has been pasted, there are some asterisk (****), sort of like a footnote - and it says "Waiver granted under Section 212(g)".

What does this waiver mean? Do I have to do something?

Is this standard practice for all CR1 visas?

By the way, my husband got his visa at Mumbai after we filed DCF at Delhi.

delve,

There was something in your husband's circumstances that made him ineligible, but that ineligibilty has been waived as allowed by INA Section 212(g) and the visa granted. Nothing more to do except for him to pack his bags and make a plane reservation.
