Hello how is everyone?? I hope good!!!

well Im new here!!! and I have tons of questions...!!!!

first of all Im Colombian born but US Citizen, my husband is from Guatemala and we are trying to get his situation straight....

he came in the US ilegal and we got married back in 2004 what application is suggested for us to start the process???? any help is deeply appreciated!!! Thanx in advance!

Hi, and welcome to VJ!!!

From your post I assume you guys got married in the US. I hate being the bearer of bad news, but I'm sure you'll have quite a few obstacles to overcome, given that your husband is in the country illegally.

I'm not a supporter when it comes to hiring lawyers, however, in your case I strongly believe that only a qualified immigration attorney can help you.

I hope all will turn out alright for you guys in the end.

I'd contact an immigration lawyer - your husband may have to go home while you apply for a waiver - then come back.

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

I'd have to concur with the advice given...get in touch with AILA to find some immigration specialists in your area....
