Just don't respond to the normal CR-1 (I-130) mail from NVC. The K-3 (I-129F) will continue on to the consulate as normal.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Hello Rachidau, congrats on your approvals.

For both our petitions it took 5 days after approval to get from VSC to NVC.

For the I-130, you can call NVC at 6033340700 and listen to the automated message, it will tell you when they recieve it and what number has been assigned.

For I-129F, we called that same number and talked to an operator (at 7 30 AM in the morning, no problem at all getting one on the line), and she told us when the petition had arrived (same day as the I-130). She also mentioned it would take a few days before it got sent to the Embassy.

Hope this helps you some.

Take care, Cat

The automated message will not give information about the I-129F, it will only give information for the I-130. For information on when they received the I-129F, you have to talk to a person. If your I-129F just got approved on the 17th of June, don't panic if they do not have information today, it may take a couple of days.

If both petitions were sent to the NVC, and you wish to only pursue the K3, then you just ignore anything from the NVC about the I-130.

Our I-129F petition for K-3 was approved on 05/05/2008, but the NVC hasn't received it yet. I talked to operators at NVC several times, but they just said wait up to 90 days. They didn't provide much help, and they were so mean.
