Expediting i-765 EAD filed with i-485/i-130

I just called USCIS and expressed my concern about my job because my current EAD expires on 7/7/08 and it is through Optional Practical Training. The pending EAD application they have is with the green card packet with 485 and 130.

I told them that I might fit in the "severe financial loss" category because with my termination on 7/7/08 the company will lose 4 projects I'm working on, and I will lose my salary that pays for rent and bills for me and my American wife.

The representative asked me what service center my application is at, took all my contact infomation, receipt notice number, and told me the expedite request is now fled electronically to the National Benefits Center where the app is at. She said it takes about 5 days for them to contact me with approval or denial for the expedite request.

Has anyone here ever had an EAD expedited? Does this sound doable? It's only been 60 days since I filed so I don't know if they will take it seriously! I need it by 7/7/08 though! :-(
