I'm sure the real plan was to have grandma raise it.

And the good citizens of their town to pay for it.

At one point I worked 3 jobs just to do it and then I relied on student loans so I could spend more time with my son and my studies. It was certainly hard, but for me there was never another choice. I wanted to be successful.

Please tell me it was worth it :innocent: I may not have a kid, but am working 2 jobs, helping hubby run a company and am back in college. I'm pretty close to my breaking point today

Yes, my son will graduate from high school next year. He's an honor student who already knows where he wants to go to college and what he wants to study :) He is fluent in German and has taken French, Spanish and next year Latin. He's a PITA and a brat sometimes, but is the kind of kid who chose to not accept an invitation to prom from a senior girl b/c there was going to be alcohol at the party afterwards (how is this kid mine!) and he spent his personal money on extra books for Latin so he could "get a head start." And somehow, no one hates him at his school :) It's a good thing he's like that too, because I always tell him he'll have to take care of me when I'm old in the manner to which I would like to be accustomed!

I have been in my career for almost 10 years and I love it. If I hadn't busted my butt then I would probably be working in a grocery store, which isn't a bad job, but wouldn't have been satisfying for me.

Clearly none of us here on VJ want to do things the easy way or we wouldn't be going through immigration.

Deep breath....calming thoughts....you will be fine and it will be worth it.

It just reminded me of those Maury out of control teen episodes when seriously questioned how they would take care of a baby without:

1) Money

2) Education

3) Job

4) Maturity

5) Lucky sperm donor

They immediately dragged the nearest older female relative into it, usually the mother. I would rip my kid's ovaries out if she did something like that to me on purpose.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

That show was so stupid. I liked the episode where she went on that cookie baking show with her sister. I think my IQ dropped six points, but it was hilarious.

Well, that would solve the pregancies - for everyone, but not really the causes of the discontent or whatever it is that leads 16 year olds to plot mass pregnancy without the means of support or much thought as to what happens next.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
