To say that today was a shitty day for us would be an understatement. Finally after 4 months of wanting to hear something from our lawyer she dropped a big stinker on us.Here at VJ we all know that waiting for an approval from CSC is no picnic. It will even take the patience of a saint and believe me Im not one.

On her email our lawyer said that the reason why USCIS is in some sort of a slow mode lately is because it is conducting 'extensive' background investigations because there has been tremendous amount of frauds in the fiance(e) visas that has

been found out.

There goes our bubble. It just bursted. Well we are hoping against hope that thats not the case.At this point the only lawyer that I will trust is Atticus Finch.Oh damn if not for the fact that he is just a fictional character on my favorite movie!!

Im still confident that our case will be adjudicated soon.Prayers can move mountains after all. :innocent::innocent::innocent:

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

You are kidding, right? Visa fraud happens in EVERY kind of visa. I get really tired of people on here saying things like this....like just cause someone married someone else, the relationship is so much more real then those who file as a fiance.

Like someone else said, same old, same old. Extensive security checks have been going on and on and on. It's nothing new.

BTW....not really venting directly at you Gogo. The question yes. But, the rest of it, just venting at things I read on here all the time. Don't take it personally.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

Im sorry but im so fed up with CSC........seems to me that they use that excuse just about any time they want to......i dont get it......i dont understand it........i mean come on there is only so much u can find in a back ground check......we passed it once and got thrown back into it when it hit adjudicators desk.....so does that mean that they dont believe the reports they get the first time so they send it back thru again? i would really like to know what really goes on at CSC i am pretty much feeling that there is at least one adjudicator that seems to enjoy the power of his/her job and has problems with some countries because of some personal reasons and just wants to put extended pressure on the couples to see if they burst into flames and call it off........

Gogo u been at this longer than i have waiting and waiting and waiting my heart goes out to u and i have u in my prayers......i know it does not seem like a lot but i hope it helps some.....

It happens to every visa, but K-1 is the easiest target. And has the most fraud cases. They had a whole system setup how to get green cards in countries like Russia/Ukraine/Indonesia that went through K-1 EXCLUSIVELY.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

I would be very cautious about taking what you've been told as meaningful and accurate, because there is no indication inside the USCIS that it is. Service Centers have been undergoing a significant amount of rationalization and internal reorganizations as workloads have been shifted around and that has caused a lot of disruptions, which create almost instant backlogs due to sheer volume of cases. Those of us who've been 'in the system' for years have seen it all before, because this sort of thing is the way bureaucracies work, and particularly how they respond to their own inefficiencies when under political pressure to improve performance.

I would assume the (sadly) usual USCIS inefficiencies and knee-jerk reactions to workload are far more likely as an explanation for CSC delays than that your attorney has given you particularly accurate insider information.

Oh, always worry about what they say, just don't readily believe a word of it!!

Seriously though, visa fraud is the primary responsibility of DoS consular posts issuing visas, not the USCIS adjudication process, because the incidence of visa fraud is not uniform across all countries. Quite the opposite. Given the basic rule in both USCIS and DoS processing of K-1 cases is that the onus is on the petitioner and beneficiary to demonstrate they are not committing visa fraud, not on the USCIS/DoS to demonstrate they are, there is actually little need to have new rules or extra processing time, because the old rules and procedures work as perfectly well as anything else would.

it's ok.. sorry for saying it that way.. I'm just frustrated with my case, that's all.. back in November 2007, they told me I was under "security checks" and now again under 'additional processing'.. I got the letter from FBI stating no security checks and knew the petitions were at the local office back then, but when I went to the local office last week, they said they just received it in May and it has "only been 2 months, so you should wait".. then what happened to all that time before that I waited? thanks for your support guys!! =) I hope that we can all get approved soon.. it's not right that they make some of us wait "much longer" than others...
