I have received a receipt showing that they received my payment for the I-130 but I have not received anything showing that it has been transfered yet. I have the next packet ready to send without the transfer notice.

If you want an immigrant visa, don't file an I-129F for spouse.

If you want a K3 visa, you can file it with a photocopy of the notice you have.

Yes, you need the photocopy, you will need to inclose another copy of the front and back of your birth certificate... since it is the K3 and not K1, you don't need to include the $455 filing fee.. that will be waived. I have heard that you can do either the K3 or the immigrant visa... HOWEVER be aware that even though the K3 is often a few months quicker in joining you, that you will have to do the AOS which is like a thousand dollars and I think one more thing. I filed the K3, but wasn't aware of the AOS thing, but right now I am at the point that I just want to be reunited with my husband! I want to be able to live together with no problems. Good luck and I hope it all goes well for you! :)

Well I filed back in jan. and it is at the Vermont service center. I would not call it service because the i30 have not changed in three months. the 129F at least the dat is moving. If I file now on the 129F have a june date? what do I need to do to file the 129F. I used a lawyer to do all the paperwork and I am getting the typical response you would expect nothing.

yeah we first were just the CR1 but even if he is here without work or driving it's a heck of alot better than away not doing the same lol. I figured I'll sell a kidney when we need to pay the AOS charge... I've got two

With our national drivers license and the international drivers license, can`t we already drive (for a year I think) while we wait to get an American license? I know that`s how it works for tourists, so I imagined driving like that the first months, wouldn`t be a problem while in AOS.

Does anyone know this?

You can drive on your foreign driver's license, but be warned that some insurance companies will charge a surcharge for a foreign driver's license because they can't verify your driving record. (I only know this because I used to work at Progressive insurance for 3 years.) It might be worth it to just take the test and get a local driver's license also when you are a permanent resident and can do so.
