Is the Gardasil Vaccination (HPV) required for the medical? I visited my doctor today and showed her a list of "required vaccinations" that I got from some website and Gardasil was one of them and my doctor was really surprised at this and said she found it odd that they would make me have that vaccine since I am already married. Anyone have a recent list of required vaccinations or know where I can find this info?

Thank you!

I do believe that females between the ages of 14 to 27 are supposed to get the Gardasil...I would just call the physician where you will eventually be getting your medical & see what they say. Good luck!

It's a MUST. My wife is a 22 year old Canadian citizen and she had to get it. What the Montreal Consulate told me was that she has to stay current with doses. There are three doses. She doesn't have to have them all completed by the time of the interview but she has to be current. The second dose is administered 2 months after the first one and the third dose is four months after the second one - in total it takes 6 months.

Hi newly...here is the link regarding the vaccinations required:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1331.html

List from Dr. Seiden's office:

Sorry, wrong ages I had, they are from 11 yrs to 26 yrs of age. In my case, I got a requisition from my family doctor for a Titre's test...then went to the local lab & gave them the printed off list of what I had to have the tests for (what immunity I had to what...they will test & rate if you need a booster...I needed a Tetanus booster...the lab screwed up and didn't do the MMR test therefore I had to get another one at Dr. Viljoen's office that cost me $60!!) then went back to my doc 2 weeks later and got the results to give to the doctor at my medical.

Good luck! Feel free to ask if you have any other questions...I'll try to help as much as possible!
