 yeah, Marlita and honeychild.

I'm usually there during Sumfest but the flights sold out quick. So we're going August 1-9 for Independence Day.

We'll be there for our fifth (of meeting) anniversary. Thinking about staying in Negril a few nights. What romantic hotel do you recommend?

On the beach:

Kuyaba Penthouse suite http://www.kuyaba.com

On the cliffs:

Blue Cave Castle: http://www.bluecavecastle.com/

Samsara: http://www.negrilhotels.com/

Thanks Sus. Have you heard anything about the Rockhouse, Tensing Pen(?) or Catcha a Fallin Star?

Aw. My man worked at Samasara. Thats where we met. I like that hotel too, but there were no screens on the windows and it was a mosquito nightmare for me, so I have to be somewhere with screens or really high up.

I heard that Tensing Pen is a BEAUTIFUL hotel. One of the best botique hotels on the cliff side. Very romantic and very private. I think its perfect for couples.

I will be going to visit my SO July 4-9th..He stays in Lucea, which is not very far from Negril and Mobay...

Just to warn you, the mosquitos are terrible. Everytime I get bit up like crazy. He tells its because I'm so light.

Whatever. The bug sprays don't work. Its like candy to them. On my last visit in March, I got ate up but not as intense as the previous times.

hahahaha :rofl:Why did my husband say this same craziness to me!? I was like that dont even make sense. Then he was like yeah its true...i only see it on fair skin people and my aunt is albino and they get her almost as bad as you. I really didnt know how to take this comment but to :bonk:

Lie dat...mi dark and dem bite up mi rass all di time. My family always say is because mi blood sweet (only in Jamaica).

Girl, the craziness these folks come with for reasons is beyond me. The mosquitos dont see color....they only smell, hahaha

I have heard good things about all three of them. Out of the ones that I suggested, I just love Kuyaba - the food there is excellent, and the rooms are so so pretty. It's in a good location, too - easy walk to most nightlife.

Thanks again. I like Kuyaba. But I noticed no TVs in the most rooms of the romantic resorts. Does that mean we have to talk to each other  ? Just kidding

:rofl::rofl:

Seriously, what are we going to do? Both are us are quiet people. This is going to be interesting....

Another note, I just asked him how are going to get to Negril. He said he was renting a car  The man hasn't driven in JA in 4 years...Mi scared :crying:

This is exactly what I fear. Andre never drove in JA. Now, that he's Mr. SuperDriver, I am waiting to hear him say we need to rent a car.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

haha!! You can get a shuttle from the airport for $20 flat fee eachway. They take people down all day. When the planes land there will be many people needing a lift. Just ask the sky cap folks for the $20 shuttle, otherwise you'll get hustled and quoted some ridiculous amount. Or you can set up with Clives Tranportation....its $18 and you get a redstripe along the way. Fees may have gone up a dollar or two since gas keeps raising but its been that price as long as i can remember. I just hitch a ride down tothe buspark and get the negril bus....but you probably dont want to do that. Its not comfy and with luggage its a mess.

Same here...he didn't drive in JA...not legally anyway. He may have driven up a street and back but that's about it.

Well he listened the first two trips....not sure about this one. He's sounds determined. I'll just meet him in Negril. His driving here scares me to death.

Yeah, it was differet when we were in a long distance relationship. Now we're just an old tired married couple...just kidding. I'll think of romantic games and other stuff to do.

Thank God the NBA playoffs are over or I would be sitting in the room by myself

Thanks. Great ideas  We're staying in Mo Bay the first few nights so we'll just have a small bag.

I know what your saying about the NBA!! Shem thank goodness they are over. If you want something romantic you could rent a small 2 bedroom villa.

Dwain is going down the week before us on July 17th and Jay and I are going down on July 24th and staying until July 31st. This should be fun because Jay Jay can't be in the sun and suppose to be inside to stay away from mosquitoes. Ugh so I hope my friends come to visit. Maybe my mother in law can baby sit a couple of hours so we can go to the beach and out for fish.

I have always used Clives in the past - His drivers are great. The $18 is for a shared ride, but out of a bazillion trips to Negril, I think I only shared a ride one way one time - If someone else arriving at the same time as you booked with him, then you share - otherwise, it's private.

I just won a hotel stay at Rooms on the Beach in Ochi on SkyAuction.com for $55/night, single/double occupancy. I am happy! I haven't seen that type of rate for a hotel since 2003-2004. I can get 10 nights for $550 + $20 admin fee = $570! I am excited now!!!:dance::thumbs:

Now, how am I going to pay for it? :praying: :innocent::blush::blink::wacko::help::rofl:

I personally didn't enjoy Negril at all. I like to be on the go...I love the beach...but I don't want to sit there for an entire trip. I am so NOT a Roots, Rock Reggae person...so live entertainment watching someone try to perform Bob Marley tunes is NOT my cup of tea. The Jungle was nice...but it was waaaaayyyy tooooo slllloooowwww for me and A.

In Ochi, I am always on the go doing something. Partying every night. Then, I head to Reggae Beach when I need my beach fix. Turtle Beach is definitely not my spot at all.

Let's start the send Jawi to Ochi fund...I will give you all some more story! Come on...I know you all are itching for an update to Stella...and Blues...:lol::rofl:
