I hate thinking about things like this...well doesnt everyone. Before my husband left for Palestine last year, he mentioned something about him dying. I dont remember what brought the conversation on, but I could not deal with it then. I said "no habibi I dont awnt you to die!" He said "everyone dies you know. it is not in our hands. Whenever Allah wants us he takes us."

Sounds ominous. I hope he's not thinking of doing something stupid, like blowing himself up.

That seems to be their attitude over there. My husband has lost so many friends and family members, to wierd freak accidents, illness, ect. that he has said something similar. He gave me a few scares last year and ended up in the hospital a couple of times but still seems to have that attitude.

My husband is my benificiary on everything. I know that if something happened to me, he would have friends here to help him get everything settled. He would be back in Egypt ASAP as well and his family would help him get through it.

As for me, I've been on my own plenty so I would be okay financially,ect.... but I would be an emotional wreck and don't live anywhere close to friends or family. I would probably end up moving in with my mom for awhile and looking for work near her.

As a rule, I generally find you funny, you know I do. However, when it comes to the continued derogatory remarks that you make about people of Arabic descent (even if you claim it is in jest), it becomes decidedly unfunny.

It's a risky venture. I suggest sticking to Carry On style jokes in the future. Oh-er-misses! is a decidedly under-rated form of comedy.
