Interesting. From what I know, this 'mansion' of his was actually part of his family's tobacco farm, so I'm not sure how much time he and wife spend there...perhaps he should sell it or turn it into a museum?

A government funded museum?

gore is a chopf##k, he could not even carry he own state...
 and proved it beyond doubt by making the recount issue; the African-American voters he CLAIMED would have voted for him actually weren't fooled--they voted for "known foe" Buchanan over "pretend friend" Boaracle!

although not a big Gore fan, we should all double check stories.

As an alternative, you might check this one out.

puts things in a little better perspective

Thanks, Joel. I can't imagine paying $12,000 a month for utilities, but according to the article, the place was under renovations. What would be really telling is if his mansion uses any more electricity than a mansion of equal size in that part of the country.

$15 a month on electric!? Do you live in a trailer or something?

Our monthly bill is around $40-$50

I would assume you pay the gas bill through your rent check

Our landlord apparently got hit by the Sub Prime thing on that house, so what he charges us (and the downstairs neighbours) barely covers his mortgage payment - doesn't touch the bills.

He's holding onto the house so he can use it as an investment for his kids. Basically - their college fund.
