Preacher for Barry Ovomit for 20 plus years using this type of language and tone every sunday morning, the same man that wed Barry and Michelle. Hummm, and Barry thinks he has good judgement to be a president. Right. AHHA what a joke and a closet anti American racist against white people. The guy never has had the guts to totally come out and condemn Jermiah Wright. If Hillary Clinton had went to a church and had a preacher talking about blacks the way Barry's preacher did about whites she would have been on a noose from a tree by all you liberal lynchers. You guys are so dishonest and fake. Like SMoke says there are many in the majority that are not over the racists comments towards whites by Barry's preacher and then Barry sitting back and not admonishing the man at all, what a joke and a double standard, typical free pass given. That may work for some liberals in the Democrat party but that is not going to work on the overall general population that will be voting.

Actually, folks, had the two Muslim ladies appeared in the photos, it would have deflated a certain amount of the criticism from the Other Side. The Obama campaign could simply have said "Yeah, and your point is what, exactly?" leaving critics simply spouting the same old anti-Islamic guff.

But now, they've just given 'em ammmunition.

And it is because of gaffes like this that Obama will lose this November, and the Democrats will be wondering how they managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory yet again.

funny how some are so outraged by how the volunteers treated the muslim woman, but there wasnt any similar outrage when mccain's pastor John Hagee called upon Christians to wage a "war" against the "false religion" of Islam with the aim of destroying it.

IMO- both candidates suck. but McCain is lesser of the two on the suck scale.

Change the subject? Not at all - just pointing out a more relevant example to compare with this Obama campaign gaffe. In short - deliberate attempts by political campaigns to stage manage "diversity" for photo opportunities are nothing new.

I'm pointing out also that if you're outraged by this thing with the muslim supporters, you should logically be equally outraged by this thing with the hispanic guy. Unless you're saying that its "worse" because Obama did it.

Why not they are US citizens, it is their right to protest and express themselves. Just like the Black Panters do, the radical Muslim Louis F and his Million man march. Care to tell me what is the difference.

Never said I wasn't outraged. Nor did I say I was outraged, either by the exclusion of the ladies in question or anything McCain or one of his associates might have said.

My point is that it's a two-way process. This isn't the primaries and the race for the nomination any more. This is, if you'll excuse the analogy, the Superbowl. There are no playoffs and no prizes for second best. Either candidate has to be prepared to win, and to win at all costs.

And yes - it is things like this incident that will matter and stick in peoples' minds come November. Obama is and should be eminently electable. That is not in dispute. Incidents like this, however, damage that electability.

And then to defend it makes it worse!

I dont defend it at all, I was really angry by the whole rev wright thing, and also mccains pastor; because I personally dont feel politics belong in church, people go to church for healing and spritual guidance. I was equally outraged on both. I hate for politics to be linked to faith, (personal reasons)

But I also realize the dirty game politics is, and I dont feel that mccains feels the same as pastor hagee, nor do I feel that obama feels the same as rev. wright. But if those words were spoken right out of obama's or mccain's mouth that would be a different story!

Both pastors were used for the oppositions benefit, and we all just eat the gossip right up.

if i remember right they did this before. put a bunch of white woman behind him so they can show the world he has the white woman supporting him. so it would only be natural that they dont want u to see he has muslims supporting him with the way things are since 9/11

It's back to what I was saying yesterday, all this stereotyping, labeling and adherence to 'marketing speak' in politics is bad for America - and Barack's organizers should be ashamed for treating their supporters this way - as should any politician. That people tolerate these chenanigans when they attend a campaign rally is surprising, and more particulary as Barack is on a platform of 'change' in the way politics is 'seen' to be done. It's not a very auspicious - but it's not the end of the world either. He does need to up his game though if he wants to win.

Yeah I don't buy the "change" either. I tend to think that it just means "not Bush/Republican" rather than this "change Washington" stuff - which seems to be pie in the sky.

Reminds me a lot of Tony Blair's "New Dawn" to it - as if everything will be miraculously different after the election. It won't of course - and you frequently end up disappointed.

I don't blame the guy, my husband recently got email with something like Obama being a Jihad candidate talking in a bad way about Muslims. It's was an insult to my intelligence.
