So my wonderful husband is taking 10 days to come down and visit me and my fam tomorrow.

...But that brings up a point. Do you know how stupid that sounds? "My husband is coming down to VISIT me." It's ridiculous! Why can't my husband and I be together forever like we had planned?

It's been over a year since our legal marriage and almost a year to our religious wedding and I feel completely gipped. My lawyer hasn't done anything good and I feel so helpless in this process. I just want my husband and I to be together forever and it's just not happening. I'm sick and tired of waiting.

I mean, what the heck. Does the government have something against Canadians? To top it all off, Andrew thinks that this is taking so long because he thinks the US thinks he's a terrorist (he's far from it, but he is a bit paranoid).

Like, every time I check the USCIS website and see that our cases haven't even been TOUCHED since March makes me boil over. And now, there's talk about the I-129Fs being cancelled and... what the #######.

Also, USCIS updated their processing timeframes, and now I'm INSIDE of those timeframes. (Paperwork sent December 6th, they've got processing up until December 18th.)

That's it. I'm calling them and trying to speak with a real human being. This is friggin ridiculous.

Rachel Marie :)

I totally understand your frustration. I have felt the same way many times while awaiting approval for the many many applications for myself (K-1) and my daughter (K-2) over the years.

We watched people get approved from high-risk countries long before we were approved.

There's really nothing you can do except wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Your time will come and then you can move on with your lives the way they should be.

Best wishes.

I totally understand where you're coming from, I remember checking the website every few hours and just freaking out that nothing was happening. My lawyer told me flat out (and he actually was really great) at the very beginining that it's just a lot of waiting and a lot of people expect a way to speed it up, but it's just not possible. I wish you nothing but good luck and I hope you two enjoy your time together. All I can offer is the promise that in the end the process is COMPLETELY worth it and life is so great when it's finally over.

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)

Please relax while your husband is there and enjoy the time together! After he leaves...of course you can check and check over and over again. Unfortunately, it doesn't make it go any faster!

We have a lovely "vent" thread on here...so fire away...we hear you!

Things will be ok...as another poster mentioned...stay busy! Go do more activities with family and friends! Take this opportunity to enjoy your surroundings before you move!

We had to wait almost a year before we got to finally be together and it was hard but I found keeping myself busy to be the best cure!

Enjoy your time together! Hug and kiss each other lots!
