I Feel very very sad, frustrated and desperate!!!

Everyday I try to understand the process in Vermont but I cannot understand!!!

If we have a number, and all of them told us that the order depends on our number-date (NOA1), I presume they are going to open the cases in order, Right?? And they have to work on this cases!!!

Then, How can Vermont office explain us that there are cases resolved with a NOA1 in March 2008??? (My NOA1 is from February 2008) All of us know that most of our cases are closed, Why do they open the new ones before the old ones??

I understand that maybe there are cases more complicated, yes, but you have to open the cases to know, haven't you?? And work on them!!!!

I know that nobody opens my case, my husband called last Friday, at least I hope that the cases are opened in order.

It is unjust, I only ask for a fair process!!!

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ...

I really like to do something!!!

(Sorry for my mistakes! My English is not very good)

Am I smoking Crack? No, but maybe I should be. Seeing as if you find it amusing that people are suffering, Why are they suffering, because they want to see their families? People did everything USCIS has asked, payed higher fees this year, and still get absolutely no help, no information, absolutely nothing. Your grand solution is to stop crying about it? Oh great ###### idea, thanks a lot mr.Obvious. When you'll go through what most of these people have gone through, come and mouth off, if you have nothing nice to say, stay out of this thread.

Mags and I filed during the beginning of the IMBRA thing....

It annoyed me back then when people complained about the "injustice of it all", and it annoys me now. In the US this process takes a long time. It always has, it always will. Pitching a b!tch about it will accomplish nothing, except maybe slow the whole process down while the onslaught of emails, Congressman inquiries, etc are dealt with. If you've been waiting over a year, then yeah....you have a reason to be pissed off. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of whining.

Your opinion has been noted and summarily dismissed. But thank you for sharing it with us!

(as though your arbitrary and subjective choice of 1 year to make complaints valid carries any more weight than someone who has decided that 7 or 8 or 9 months to get through USCIS was sufficient.)

I am very interested in getting my case approved at Vermont but I have doubts that this will have any positive impact. Vermont and USCIS is doing this because they can. They are part of DHS that considers itself god. They can do anything they want under the interest of national security. At the same time, it doesn't hurt to do all this.

Do you have lots of inside knowlege that we do not? Nope, you are just bitter old man trying to make everyone around you become bitter like yourself.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

Do I have to get my switch out? :P

Platy might not have said it the way you want to hear it, but essentially he's right.

Anecdotally Vermont has been slower for ALL petition types other than the K. ROC applicants have cases that have been lying around for over a year up there.

The case processing dates listed by Service Centers reflect the oldest cases still not approved. I'm always stunned when people are upset that cases filed after those dates are receiving approvals. It's not a reflection of a failure of a FIFO policy (which doesn't exist to begin with).

There's nothing wrong with seeking publicity or assistance with your cases. But Admin of this site isn't going to involve themselves.

Your logic is not sound. "It always has..." doesn't mean it is right. How can you support a process that is so inconsistant even its own employees don't know what to do? As for complaining, I think everyone has the right to vent and exercise his/her freedom of speech. This is one of the biproducts of having a forum such as VJ in additoin to being able to share information. It maybe true that our congressman may not be listening to our concerns, but I believe after an overwheliming majority complain enough, someone will listen. Change takes time. The abolishment of slavery didn't happen over night, the ability for woman to vote didn't happen over night. My fellow citizens, if things are not working right, you have every right to complain to your senators and representatives if you want it to change. No action yields no result!

I believe there might be some mistake or either they have lot of applications for I130 petition. Guys also remember I130 petition is for immediate relative. your parents, spouse and children under 21 all fall under same category.

Where can I find information on what states are covered under Vermont? I know NJ is included under VSC and they have lot of filers.

I feel now I've done a big mistake by not going for K3. Is it too late look at my timeline I received NOA1 April 29th abt 1.5 months ago.

I believe u meen K1 not K3 and I don't think its too late at all. and the fee should be waived. check into it it should still save u alot of waiting

What would your feelings be if your governement limited numerically the number of foreign born spouses which could immigrate to your country? Of if a points system was applied to their education, ability to speak english, etc. and such points were tied to their admission?

What if your government closed its border entirely and forbid the admission of any immigrant?

The 'rights' of foreign born persons to cross the border and live in a sovereign nation are non-existent in any nation of this planet. All such admissions are granted by nothing more than the latitude of the host nation and can be changed at any time by those governments.

In other words - your government does not have to honor your request. You are seeking a favor. And that's the brutal truth.

I was considering dropping my I-129F, and going with the IR1/CR1 process, due to Vermont not processing K3s. Apparently they are not processing anything. Guess I'll just stick with the K3. Wonder why K3 filers in California get I-129F approval in 3 weeks?
