Going BATTY! Case Not Even Looked At!! Past 6months...

I'm definitely going batty trying to figure out what is going on in my case.

I filed the I-130 on Dec. 11, 2007 to the Chicago Lockbox.

It was received and entered in their actual system on Jan.31, 2008 in the Vermont Service Center though my receive date is Dec.11, 07.

Since then, a SUBSTANTIAL amount of DUST has collected on my case files, I'm sure.

I call everyday and have requested two expedites so far. Nothing.

And GET THIS...I had applied to USCIS last year for a position on a whim since I did volunteer work for a refugee organization (helped with immigration applications, etc).

I was offered a tentative position with USCIS. I am in the process of doing my background checks now. They are faster in their Human Resources to hire than anywhere else, this I know for a fact.

Anyway, after 6+ months of waiting for the I130 petition.... Nothing, Nada, Zilch.

It took 2 months to even get the NOA1.

At this point, I am SERIOUSLY thinking of canceling the F'ing petition and taking my butt to my husband.

I told them that I wouldn't be able to even do the job of working at USCIS if USCIS is the SAME organization that is keeping me from my family. Go figure.

WHO CAN BE MARRIED AND LIVE LIKE THIS!!

Sorry, my vent is over now.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Leedah,

You and I are exactly in the same spot! My time line is the same as yours. I think we are among the few December members that are still not approved! Like you I am going crazy and extremely frustrated! I see so many petition after us approved, and although very happy for them, am extremely upset at the process (or lack of) USCIS has in place. The waiting game they put us through has been a tough for my family. Everyday I check and pray that something positive will come up. Like you, I called once in a while to check and constantly get no where with them. Yesterday (as in one of my previous posts), I was told that VSC backlog may impact our petition an additional 6-8 months! What the hell?

Marriage : 2007-11-24

07/11/2008 - Approved for both I-129F and I-130 (e-mail)!!!!!!!

I got ur point. It is not healthy to work for an environment which is a cause of your misery. I feel miserable being far away from my husband too.

Just got married and we are just starting the visa process. Reading your timeline makes me nervous.. I cannot stand to be away from him for such a long period of time.. Heavens!!! I just wish there would be miracle and all process would be shorter than we expect.

Goodluck to all of us..

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......
