We met in person, but our relationship didn't really *bloom* until he went back to Toronto. He apparently exported them all to a txt file being the super geek he is. I do have one that exemplified the super geekified boy he is though! It said something like:

I don't have a first e-mail or text message, as my fiancé and I met on a video game and were friends for a long time first. But now we both save every text conversation and email since we realized what we felt. Some great sweet e-mails from mein Schatz. He reminds me all the time that I'm the only pink sharky for him.

The forum we met on crashed and burned. I'd love to be able to print off some of those old posts for my daughter to see how our relationship evolved, but it's gone....even tried the "way way back machine" and couldn't retrieve anything......don't have the old emails either....was on AOL way back when.....

We met in a chat room through a mutual friend and at the time we both got on each others nerves haha, long debates (wish I still had em) he says I was a hard ### and that I always had an answer for everything (still have those answers lol) He has more messages saved then I do (he says I am the "man" in the relationship haha) I have all our msn convos since dec and tons of emails ... but nothing from the "friend" period which would give me a good chuckle to read now since we really butted heads

I believe we exchanged our first email about 8 years after we first met, as Al Gore had invented the internet but not yet made in widely accessible in 1991.

We first met online more than 2 years ago... It was in a dating site where you can send automatic smiles to your prospects. This is the first email I got from him: "David sent you a smile" and I was like, what the... another one from another David? So I sent back a 3-page letter, told him everything about me, from good to not so good, hoping he'll get discouraged a little, it was otherwise. It was the beginning of our love story and the rest is history...

We have kept all the emails, cards, snail mails, even the automatic smile I got from him. It will always be part of us.

But we had talked on AOL IM for a little while before we actually emailed each other, so we weren't introducing ourselves in the email. I just checked, the emails I have saved I don't think are the first emails. Boo. We don't even know what day we first talked on AOL IM b/c we didn't know it would be important one day.

The oldest email I have is from Nov 2001, a couple months after we started talking, about his brother in law dying b/c I wondered where he went. He used to come online at his office and then disappeared for weeks and I was freaking out a little. I should ask him if he has our oldest emails, sent before November.

Our very first messages were via PM on a site that we're now both banned from. So, I don't have those. First email....yeah, I have that. It was Mags waffling on about Scotland and stuff. lol We emailed & chatted as friends for a few months, and then one day *pow!* we were "together".

That's about me and P too. Only we're not only banned from the board, but it is no longer in existence

But I have all emails and chats from 2006 on. Any ones I'm missing I'm sure he has.

We originally met in person, but really got to know eachother via email, and yes, I have the very first one and all thereafter. I love to re-read them every now and then. I even had the first text message, up until I dropped my phone in Nov. 2007 and it was run over by a car. I lost all kinds of lovely little poem texts and I feel so sad about that.

We both have all cards, letters momentos saved as well. LOL were both pack rats!
