You dont have to be so dam n rude illumine??

I'm not being rude. My right to vote is my own choice. I do not need to share it with anyone except the ballot box. It's called a secret ballot.

Secret ballot

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The secret ballot is a voting method in which a voter's choices are confidential. The key aim is to ensure the voter records a sincere choice by forestalling attempts to influence the voter by intimidation or bribery.

The system is one means of achieving the goal of political privacy. Secret ballots are suitable for many different voting systems.

The most basic form may be blank pieces of paper, upon which each voter writes only their choice. Without revealing their vote to anyone, the voters place the ballots into a sealed box, which is emptied later for counting.

One of the most common forms in the modern world provides for pre-printed ballot papers with the name of the candidates or questions and respective checkboxes. Provisions are made at the polling place for the voter to record their preferences in secret. The ballots are specifically designed to eliminate bias and to prevent anyone from linking voter to ballot. This system is also known as the Australian ballot, because it originated in Australia during the 1850s. In the United States, it is also known as the Massachusetts ballot since Massachusetts was the first U.S. state to use the secret ballot.

 Somehow I don't think a system designed to prevent election bias at polling stations really comes into play when discussing a preferred candidate/s with total strangers on the internet.

If you don't want to have the discussion why not just say so? There's no need for a song and dance

Or bitter, spiteful posts.

OTOH Gary does bring up an interesting factoid about "polling trends." Might I remind the more intrepid readers that this is not a typical election by a long shot. Should we expect voters that some would expect to vote accordingly to issues be expected to be faithful to those candidates that best represent their wishes? It could go either way if this were not the case.

Nevertheless, it is fairly clear that due to this election cycle being one borne out of necessity and desire and dreams for change away from the current status quo, perhaps those that perpetuate the same governmental inability to function that they criticize are the ones that need to reassess their observations of electoral reality.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
