Hello all,

I have been a lurker on the forums for many months, and just wanted to introduce myself and thank you all for your participation and input. Your advice and the general information everyone has provided has given me hope through the painful process, helped me avoid potential pitfalls, and the best part has been finding the shortcuts!

We're in process for a K-3 as well as CR1 through Montreal (which is an Appointment NVC Processing Post).

Our IV bill, which we paid online on Friday (June 13th) is now showing PAID, so my husband is using the barcode sheet generated from the online payment system as part of his DS-230 packet, which he will be sending out today. I'm a little nervous about the packet going out without seeing the full set of directions that the NVC sends (which is what we've used for the previous steps), but we've read and reread the directions from the State Department's website, and (hopefully) followed them meticulously, so I guess we should be ok...

Anyway, I wish you all the best of luck and this process, and expect to be participating more now that I've broken my silence!

Timeline:

CR1

I-130 sent: ~10/19/2007; I-130 rec'd: 10/23/2007

NOA1 for I-130: 1/15/2008

NOA2 for I-130: 3/13/2008

Affidavit of Support Bill generated: 4/07/2008

DS-3032 Choice of Agent generated: 04/07/2008

Affidavit of Support Payment sent: 04/21/2008

I-864 Affidavit of Support request: 05/05/2008

DS-3032 Choice of Agent mailed: 05/21/2008

I-864 Affidavit of Support mailed: 06/12/2008

IV Bill paid (online -- I finally figured out that this could be done!): 06/13/2008

I-864 Affidavit of Support rec'd/signed for: 06/13/2008

DS-230/IV Package sent: 06/17/2008

Case Complete at NVC: 06/27/2008

Interview Date: 09/08/2008: Approved!!!

Entered US: 09/13/2008

K-3

I-129F mailed: 2/26/2008; I-129F rec'd: 2/29/2008

NOA1 for I-129F: 3/10/2008
