Chantix is a commonly perscribed stop smoking drug. One that I have been taking for months. This is an overblown story manufactured to make headlines. All drugs have side effects.

Do feel the urge get drunk, grab a gun and get tasered by the cops?

Or

Feel the urge to turn on your computer, grab your mouse and let loose on liberals?

To the first one, never.

To the second one, always. Long before I started taking Chantix though.

Gary, forgive me if I'm mistaken, but didn't you take a stop smoking drug that made your mood change?

wellbutrin, if i recall correctly.

I have a patient data sheet here from one of our tissue procurements that states... wellbutrin OD as cause of death. Scary.

It's no secret these pharmaceutical companies do their best to suppress any evidence that the drug they spent so much money on testing, is potentially harmful to the people who take it. We need this country to get back to investing money into independent research. Our safety depends on it.

I don't know about that - the FDA has pretty stringent guidelines when it comes for approving new drugs for sale/prescription to the public. And its common practice to run some sort of volunatry human as part of that approval process.

This would be an appropriate moment for a numbnut to offer up illegals as a perfect candidate pool for human testing.

But yes... the FDA is pretty stringent. Problem is, as Steven points out- that before regulation steps in some companies have tried 'doctoring' (no pun intended) the data to fit their profit margin nicely.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Or convicts... Though that has been done before I believe...
