The thing is that processing dates don't mean anything any more. They will not move the processing dates and if they do, it will be few days out of shame but enough so that people can't start filing expedites with reason being USCIS error.

The one officer I talked to on the phone was audibly shaken (not stirred). She was defensive before I said two words. All she wanted to do was get me off the phone as though just talking to me risked her life. I couldn't tell whether she hated her job because they made her ineffective by refusing to let her speak freely or because she's constantly abused by callers because she cannot speak freely. But she was not a happy camper.

They are processing non-expedites as well, albeit not too many. I can name Arlington, prashp1, and Bnm - they were approved recently with NOA1 dates from the first week of January and there are at least 3-4 more cases like this, just have to dig deep enough to find them all. If you NOA1 date is January 3. '08 for example, and you get approved in May or June '08 that would not be one of those fast/automatic expedites. These folks waited 6-9 months for approvals.

Because they are in the minority, I have to think something special caused them to be looked at. They are such a small minority in fact, that I'd lay money that they came to someone's attention for a reason and not just because it was their time.
