awww the good ol' days. He'd want me to leave the computer on and he'd wake me and we'd talk for hours and hours... than a couple times a day for a couple of hours and the last two weeks (he is preparing for his Spain consulate interview) maybe once a day maybe an hour. It sucks! But I am done with the whine... i'll just try to do as he does and be "relaxed" he has way more patients than me that's 4sure!

LD relationships suck add in the time difference and work how is it possible.. we've only been "serous" a year how do you do it after 3???? oY! You gals are strong. Insha'allah I'll be like you one day.... like tomorrow would be good for me lol

Here is my 2 cents on online meeting times. I remember in the beginning of our relationship, we talked daily for several hours a day. As things progressed, we still talked daily but for an hour or two. Once we reached a comfort level, it was every other day. It got to the point where we would talk online once a week but on the phone more often.

We both got sooooo sick of sitting in front of a computer. I think this is a natural process. Even in relationships that are not online, people usually go out of their way in the beginning and then things settle down.

i feel tht is where we are now more me than him...i am so sick of hurrying home in front door straight to computer and there he is waiting...(not that this isnt good) but i just got home, this was before the time change...now i cant get home quicker and it turns out late for him and if i make a stop even worse...so if i see its after a certain time i dont even try to make it and he knows by now, then i get the offline telling me how he waitied and then now the ecards more and more..but thats ok a couple years on that computer is really turning out to be a hard thing to keep up..it is good to see others are in the same boat

Ah I went through that too. Actually we are still having that sometimes. Like yesterday we didn't make a time to meet but he's on his break from the military right now and he decided to come online and wait for me and he didn't twitter me so I didn't know he was waiting. It was silly he waited for 2-3 hours and could have gotten ahold of me by my phone through the internet or text msg, or calling me. He knows that but instead I get the offline "I waited for you. Guess you're not coming." bleh. :dead: What is the point of that? Anyways...

We used to have a system so I didn't have to wait in front of the computer for him to find a pc..... he'd just call me and tell me he's online then I'd sign on. We got tired of sitting in front of the PC too after a while.

His bus is running late so he's not home yet :sigh: so I just watched a documentary called "Hear and Now" and all I can say is Subhanallah! I wrote about it on my multiply page for those of you who want to read it there but I really recommend everyone watch this film! It was really awesome!

After 3-4 yrs I'm going completely bonkers. :jest::D

J/K it's only true sometimes. Patience and acceptance and forgiveness have been big players during this waiting.

jax. ur place rocked! Thanks for lettin me in!

about the whole waiting for ur man online...yeah we went thru that..its soooooo frustrating. I found that what worked for us was when he would not let me know somehow that he wouldn't be online...i'd take a couple days off as well without telling him. He very quickly learned how much it sucks to wait forever for nothing and he started telling me if he wasn't gonna be able to make it on.

you know what.... I think i'am going to do just that... Ijust signed off and didn't leave any "notes" as we call them since this morning. I think he should know what it's like... feels a little "gamey" to me but really I would like him to know for a change...

Now to sum up the strength to not fold like a lawn chair...

I pray alot... hamdolah I am muslim and have my obligatory 5 times a day prayers that really helps reduce tension... but at work I forgoe my prayers just cause it's "ackward" no place to pray etc..... but I understand.

the patient women is truly an honorable one.

Whoops I tired that a couple times and that back fired for me and only made the situation worse. With him what you put in you get back two times or more. If it turns negative then I get back more negative and if it turns sweet then he's 1,000 times sweeter. Lots of learning between us and styles. Finally I learned I just had to communicate in short clear sentences what I wanted from him to help make him a better man and if he started slipping then I'd call him on it and he'd keep trying.

For example: If he's not there a few days and there is no word then it was better for me to send him sweet msgs like:

"Habibi where are you? Why are you not coming online? (teasing) You don't love me anymore? I am missing you."

lol liv, our hubbies must be complete opposites. If I sent my husband a msg like that, he'd call me back and ask why i have to be so mean lol. I swear he can read me like the alphabet... he KNOWS when I'm talking sweetly behind gritted teeth even in text. For us, ####### for tat works best

I wish I had a big old plate of good food....smashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, deep fired cod smothered in lemon and tartar sauce,a nice dinner roll with just a hint of garlic in it, pecan pie, cupcakes, ice cream..... just........real food.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Yea my bosses all left and I brought in my laptop  I swear being away from a computer all day made me itchy! I mean what if I missed an approval? Or an interview date? Or a visa in hand thread! New rule at work----we will close at 8pm instead of 9pm and one day a week we will work 10-8.... what? a 10 hour shift? That is insane. My normal shift now is 10-3 or 3-9. Whatever makes them think I want/can work 10 hours? omg this will kill me for sure.

How was everyones day? I was productive. Can't wait to get home and check the mailbox for a NOA1 hehehehehe. When I get it I will be like this..:dance:
