Question about address change

Hi everyone :) I'm confused as usual and would appreciate some input. I met my Nigerian fiance in Kenya where we were both attending university, lived together for two years, yada yada. I came back to the US and we filed at the beginning of March (approx. 102 days spent waiting thus far). We thought at the time that he would continue living in Nairobi, so when I submitted our application I indicated that we would like the approval sent on to the embassy in Kenya so he could interview there.

However, plans have changed a little bit, and he will be heading home to Nigeria in late July. He's going to have to do the interview in Lagos. My question is, does he need to submit a change of address form, or is there any other form that we need to submit to indicate that the approved application should be sent to Lagos instead of Nairobi?

Thanks for your help!

-Kathleen

At this point I don't think there is anything you can do until you get approved.

Once you get approved call NVC and tell them about the change in consulates. They should forward it to Lagos from there.

Hi Kathleen, yes, you need to contact the USCIS center where you filed your petition and give them a change of address

for the beneficiary. I think you can do this online on their website. Do not just call and change the address over the phone. This is

how I got so screwed up and am still in this process. Then you may want to call afterwards to make sure they changed your SO address. My finace who was in Vietnam moved once I filed the petition back to Nigeria and I had a very hard time getting his case moved to Nigeria after it left California service center.
