In the first couple of days after arriving in the USA I found out I was pregnant. Since we were not planning to get married right away after my arrival (due to planning) I couldn't use my fiance's health insurance. We have applied for Medical Assistance from the state of Pensylvania and were approved. I needed some sort of medical care and it was impossible to even make an appointment with a gyn after they've heard I have no insurance.

I have been using medical assistance up until now. We are married and my husbands insurance covers me from now on.

I was just going through form I 485- Part 3 processing information asks:

"HAVE YOU RECEIVED PUBLIC ASSISTANCE FROM ANY SOURCE, INCLUDING THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT OR ANY STATE, COUNTYOR MUNICIPALITY (...) "

Yes I have. What does that mean to me and my husband. Are we going to be in trouble for this? Is the government going to ask my husband to repay the benefits based on the affidavit of support that he's signed (the I-134)? Please help.

No, you are not going to be in trouble. See: http://www.uscis.gov/files/article/Public.pdf

There is more on the USCIS website about this, but I am having trouble locating it.
