my spouse is in her late 30s already....

I'll have to look up the statistics and relative risk rates, but is she's 45 by approval time we are playing with bad odds. And every year, even now creates worse odds.

I'm not real hip to having a child I don't see or raise, and that will have the same set of bs paperwork #######.

I don't think this would work for expedite. Late 30's and even early 40's is not old. I know you want to have children now, so I am sorry to hear about your wait. I hope something works out soon.

The possibility of getting pregnant with higher risk of birth defect is not a reason for expedite. There have been a few couples on here whp have gotten an expedite after a miscarriage/ stillbirth, but I dearly hope that will never happen to you.

I doubt that will be a reason to get an expedite from this heartless ####### organization.

I am in my late late 30s, 38 to be exact, just had a surgery and dealing with some medical problems that need continuous monitoring, they didn't approve the expedite request, instead sent us this "30 days or more to review your request" nonsense.

They may have gotten stricter with expedites as many people are applying for them. I myself am thinking about filling out an expedite even though I don't really have a true emergency. It seems like this is the only thing you can do to have a chance of getting approved in Vermont.

This makes me soooo sad. I am pregnant and going to have a baby, we hope that he will be let across the border for the birth. When I see times like 244 days ago for petitions and such, wow.. that seems like such an eternity. I wish you all the best! I hope it goes quickly for you. I read on one of the forums that the number of petitions has dropped a lot from March, now I wonder if that is just here on VJ, or that also reflects a picture of what is happening at USCIS. That would be interesting to know. If it was even close to an accurate reflection of what is happening, then that means that things might speed up a bit in processing? :innocent: Wouldn't that be awesome?
