We had our interview today. The guy was very nice but said, "You can imagine we don't get many Iraqis interviewing in Korea. Your case needs further administrative processing."

He said he guess 2 weeks to "conservatively, a month." It's back to a waiting game for us.

Hello,

If you read about my situation, you know my husband has been in AP for the past 9 months. I completely understand the frustration you are feeling at getting stuck right before the finish line. One thing I am happy for is that you we're expecting it and were educated on the fact that this kind of thing happens to almost every male now of those countries. 2nd, I am happy to see the CO was blunt about the reason for AP and just said it was because of the country where he is currently - luckily this drowns out all the worried of relationship validity, etc. That is seriously a good thing and actually when you are placed in AP, you must think of all the positives because it is so easy to focus on the negatives (i.e the time lost due to AP, that it can take several weeks, etc)

I wish you my prayers. Do not feel bad and stay informed. Call the DOS number at 1-202-663-1225, dial 0 then 1 and get to a visa specialist who can tell you your status.

I really hope you get out of this soon. As I hope that for myself as well!

Tammy :luv:

AP: Over 1 year.

Visa: Nov 2

US Entry: Nov 13, Alhamdulillah.
