Rio Visa Delivery

My fiancee has her interview on July 29. Its been a long process and I am so looking forward to getting her up. Because she has to fly to Rio for her interview, we were planning on just having her stay there, wait for her Visa and then fly up here after that. Her interview is on a Tuesday, I would love to have her fly up here on Friday night. How big of risk is that if the visa is going to be delivered in Rio. I have to imagine that for a local delivery it shouldn't be much more than a couple of days for delivery. Does anybody have experience with how long that whole delivery process takes. Am I taking too big of a risk having her to try to fly up on friday??

My case was similar to yours.

My husband is from Manaus, so he and I met up in Rio a few days before the interview. He had his medical exam the Friday before (the interview was also on a Tues) and then we enjoyed ourselves the few days before.

My husband's visa was approved Tues morning and we were told to return Thurs afternoonn to pick up the visa. We did and the visa was given to us. We then flew out of Rio two days later - Saturday afternoon. Everything went fine.

We both had tickets in advance to leave on that day (Sat). I decided it'd be safer not to fly the day before (Fri) just in case - we'd still have a business day in Rio. But everything was fine.

Worse comes to worse, your fiancee can change your flight for a fee. I say go w/ it.
