continue on, Mr. Gary. Continue showing your antics. I see that both of are attacking me because neither of you have any real responses. Neither of you have answered a single question nor comment. So if avoiding the subject by being disrespectful to me saves you from addressing the real issue, both of you are welcomed to continue on!

Don't worry, you are being attacked because you dared to question the emperor.

You're not really being fair here...I can handle a difference of opinion...but when someone constantly says that someone like Gary has no respect for soldiers, it gets to the point where I had to say something.

The Iraq war conversation has been done to death....we all have our own viewpoint, and I'm ok with that.

You are a very disrespectful man Mr. Gary! You have no respect for our troops!

No, I think you are disrespectful to our troops.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Most people agree the war in Iraq is unnecessary based on the reasons given to go to war initially. Most people would also agree Saddam is a ruthless dictator and it is better that he is not in power anymore. However, that was not the major reason for going to war; there was insufficient American support (and support from Allies, U.N., etc) to invade Iraq solely because of Saddam's ruthless rule over his country.

It is OK to disagree about the war and to support our troops serving abroad. Hopefully, no one disagrees with this statement.

In regards to percentage of troops supporting the war, I don't have the answer. I am sure there are plenty of troops serving abroad who support the war and there are plenty serving who don't. Some signed up after 9/11 to fight the war in Afghanistan, some feel it is their duty whether they support the war in Iraq or not to serve like others before. Again, it is ok to not support the war, but to still support the troops.

Very well said.

I am very proud to be American, and to be a former Air Force brat (daughter of a 3 tour Viet Nam vet) and sister of 2 former Naval officers. One who was on the USS Nimitz during the Iran hostage affair in the early 80s. BUT. I don't agree with this war. I do believe that our country was tricked into supporting something that turned out to be false. Do I like Hussein? Hell no. And I think that ending such oppression was necessary. But I still don't think that 5 years on we should still be in Iraq.

It's definitely ok to support our troops but not support this war. It sure as heck doesn't make me unpatriotic.

It's interesting how many videos are popping up with soldiers bashing the war and the president. And they are in uniform!!! Absolutely classless.

It's a well known fact that the Iraq war has been long and taxing on everyone, but I don't see how these soldiers videotaping themselves crying about the war is helping the situation.

Absolutely agree with you on that one, Matt.

Wheres the mass exodous to canada?

There are several in Canada who've claimed refugee status. Our courts have determined that the most recent one isn't a refugee and he's heading back your way for justice. I disagree with the war in Iraq - however I disagree even more with "moral objectors" fleeing to Canada when its a volunteer army. There is no requirement to sign up and when Uncle Sam calls for his pound of flesh, it should be given - reasons for the war or not.
