Hi,

I applied I130 for my wife. What kind of visa she will be given IR1 or CR1.

Thank you.

CR1

12/19/2005: I130 Mailed.

12/22/2005: I130 NOA1 (Notice Date).

05/04/2006: I130 NOA2 (Approval).

05/17/2006: NVC assinged case#

05/29/2006: DS3032 and AOS bill fee generated.

06/01/2006: DS3032 and AOS bill fee sent, Express usps mail.

06/16/2006: Received IV Bill form and I-864 package.

06/19/2006: Send IV bill and I-864 express usps mail.

06/22/2006: IV bill fee entered in NVC system.

06/30/2006: DS-230 has generated

06/31/2006: Received DS-230.

07/10/2006: Sent DS-230

07/28/2006: Sent Passport Biographic page. Delayed because of name change.

08/08/2006: Case Complete @ NVC

08/17/2006: Case forwarded to embassy.

09/07/2006: Spouse received Packet 3.5 from embassy.

09/18/2006: Spouse send packet 3.5 to embassy.

10/20/2006: Wife arrived in US.

I29F K3

05/01/2006: I129F sent.

05/15/2006: I129F NOA1.

08/07/2006: Email approval notificationl of I129F.

08/14/2006: Case forwarded to embassy.

08/28/2006: Spouse recieved packet 3.5 and date of interview.

09/05/2006: Embassy canceld K3, since CR-1 @ embassy.

It depends on how long you've been married.

If married less than 2 years at the time of the interview - she gets a CR-1.

If married more than 2 years at the time of the interview - she gets an IR-1.

Just to clarify a little to wife_of_mahmoud's post.

If married less than 2 years at the time of POE ( Port of Entry) at USA - CR1

If married more than 2 years at the time of POE - IR1.

05/03/2005 NOA1 for I-130 CR1

10/28/2005 NOA2

NVC Timeline

11/15/2005 - NVC case number assigned

01/04/2006 - NVC completed the case... ( 50 days)

01/11/2006 Case sent to Embassy

01/16/2006 Case deliverd to Embassy as per DHL tracking

February 7th, 2006 Found out Interview date by Calling DOS (202-663-1225)

February 13, 2006 - Packet 4 received

March 21st, 2006 - Medical

March 23rd, 2006 - Interview --- VISA APPROVED

March 24th - Passport received. ( Applicant picked up passport from Courier/delivery service office)

April 7th - Hubby's POE at Chicago.

April 10th - Trip to SSA Local office to apply for Social Security Card.

April 27th - 1st Welcome letter

May 1st - 2nd Welcome letter

May5th - Received Social Security card in mail

May 11th - Received Green Card in mail

196 Days @ USCIS ( 178 for NOA2 + 18 case transfer at NVC)

50 Days @ NVC to complete the case

13 Days @ case transfer at embassy

65 Days @ Embassy

Total -324 days from NOA1 to Visa approval

Incorrect clarification - Sham asked what kind of visa, and that will depend on when the visa is issued.

It's LPR classification that depends on when she enters.
