Can i buy a one way ticket to fly to the states with my K1 visa or would i need a round trip so that i have return ticket even though i wouldnt need my return flight (i know that some countries wont let you enter without a return ticket)

Yes, of course, although round trip is often less expensive to purchase.

it would be really weird if they asked for a return ticket when you go there on a K1 and you have no idea when will your next trip back be...

i was thinkink it would be great if i could buy one of those tickets that let you reschedule your flight back within a 6 month period. I know Air France used to do that...not sure if they do it anymore...And there was no fee for changing your reservation.

Oh....and since you are flying from Germany...i flew out of Dusseldorf to New York once with LTU. i had a return flight and i was able to reschedule.

and also... Singapore Airlines (Jfk to Frankfurt) was really cheap last summer. I flew in September and i only paid about $400 for a one way flight. Service was exceptional!

As stated above, you can get a one way ticket, but it won't be very beneficial.

Marco flew from Düsseldorf and it worked out to be cheaper for a roundtrip.....If you can find one that is cheaper, go for it!

Yes you can, but I suggest to do whatever is cheaper. My husband got a round trip only because it was cheaper.
