I agree with Zaid. :(

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Come on Noura! When it cools off tonight, just do it! Walk 5 minutes, jog 60 sec, walk 90 sec. Do that jog/walk thing like 7 times and your done!

How you feel Olivia? I am excited to try again. This is the first thing that has motivated me to get off the couch!

I am late today :P Hope everyone is having a great Sunday :)

Jackie and Olivia, I am actually doing the couch-5K thing as well. I am just about to transition over to week 2 in a few days (I like to stretch out my weeks). I am not a runner, never have been, but I love it.

Week 2 wow Zee that is cool! I looked ahead and by week 3 and 4 ...I might wish I was back on the couch..lol. But I am not a quitter and now that the lexapro is out of my system, I can do this, I know I can. I imagine I look pretty funny attempting to run. But I figure if Oprahs big butt could run, then so can I.

jJ

thx for that :star: jenn :) I have only run a total of...hmmm... 1 min 45 sec.. heap lavish praise when I make it up to 3 minutes

I would love to explain 'Couch to 5K'! It has me excited. Following this program..3 times a week for 9 weeks...you will run 5k (3 miles!)

So here it is the way I see it.

You walk for 5 minutes to warm up. Then you jog just ....60 seconds. No problem. Then you walk for 90 seconds to catch your breath. Then you jog for 60 seconds again and then walk 90 seconds. You do that for a total of 20 min so about 7 reps of the jog/walk part.

Then comes week 2...now you up the jog part to 90 seconds and then a 2 minute walk to breath. Now it is only 4 reps

Each weeks gets gradually more til by week 9 you are running. Check out the full plan on the website.

Come'on Kelly! Make this the week to start! I am sure between work and family you could use 20 minutes of 'kelly' time. Walmart has a stopwatch for $4.99.

Hello All!

I am late today but better late than never...

First of all Tamara: I heard this many times that good people leave us too soon. It is one of the hardest truths I guess I too have not learned to accept.

Jackie: I am so happy to hear are off the medication, my mother suffered with that as well and I know it is truly an accomplishment to be off it.

My day was out with friends going to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago with some old friends. It was nice, but I felt even worse returning home as I missed my husband....Rajaa - I too have not spent a whole day talking to my husband for a while, I may do that tomorrow.

Nagi: Yes I am feeling the whole weight of the world again....I wish this dreadful feeling would leave. Summer is here...

Olivia! How are ya?

No rajaa, you said goodbye one week before us. You filed your I130 when I was saying goodbye. Hello May filier!

Well, it's time to get my lethargic butt out the door before dark. If I can't do the whole run thing, I will at least stay outside for 20 minutes.
