In short, your article is absurd.

Your response to the article is absurd. Anything which falls short of portraying the Palestinians as long suffering, innocent and hopeless victims of Israeli/Zionist despots does not jibe with your view.

Here is a link to a very fair interpretation of the history of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict in brief, but be advised, it fails to blame all problems on Israel and Zionists.

http://www.mideastweb.org/briefhistory.htm

then it must be a zionist plot as it does not blame israel completely.

I can cross-stitch but have never tried to do tatreez-style. Everyone I've given tatreez has absolutely loved it -- wall hangings with the word "Jerusalem" or "Bethlehem" or "Palestine" are especially popular with my family and friends. Here are some of the pieces I have:

Those are absolutely awesome! I love the floral design. one looks like a rose... do you know what kinds of stylized flowers those are? Kind of reminded me of the anemones and roses.

Ammar really wanted to make a business with tatreez, but I don't know that epople would pay what it's worth... not enough to keep a business.

I haven't ever cross-stitched, although I *logically* know the steps (which means I read something and have zero practical experience). I am amazed at the symmetry and levelness of the pieces. That takes real skill.

None of my posts have ever been helpful. Be forewarned.

The real story

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Hmmmmm.... well well well how am I not surprised that when the issue of Palestine comes to the table allllll pro zionist have to say is FAKE...LOL

Look I am perfectly fine with admitting there is alot of Palestinian propaganda. I am perfectly fine with admitting Palestinians faults... I am and will never be perfectly fine with those that say its all fake and propaganda and ignore the TRUTH of what has been done and is still being done to the Palesinian people. Maybe because I have personally known too many of them. Maybe because I think that all those I have known are not LIARS, just bitter for no reason... ya well thats what pro Zionists think anyway. too bad they ignore the human suffering for thier own selfish reasons.

Are you implying every pro-zionist thinks that is fake?

I know there are many, many Palestineans who are great people-- I know several people personally living in exile, one of whom was instrumental in arranging my own marriage. I know Palestineans are not all Muslim, some are Christian, some are agnostic, some are atheist, and who knows what. I know many of the first Palestineans to fight the original Jewish state were Christian. I know every day many are suffering where they live. Many are too poor to start over. I know the Israeli government is not a bunch of awesome people who are just beaming with G-d-filled glory and ordination. I know that many atrocities are commited. I know there is propaganda on both sides. I know the American media is biased on many things. In this very thread I had a small, minature rant on the usage of water, which is a very crucial resource in that land, and the misuse of this resource (as I perceive it) by the Israeli government. I don't think everything they do is gold, or even silver or bronze-- sometimes it's just obvious cr@p.

I'm a Zionist. I doubt that's any real big secret that's particularly well-hidden by any means. I usually stay away from arguing particular points as my reason for being one is not something that can be debated in any way, shape or form, and thus it doesn't particularly lend itself to any kind of "discussion" other than me , perhaps, quoting prophetic verses and then someone else saying "I don't believe that." That's pretty boring and pointless. We knew that from the beginning.

I think a broad-spectrum characterization is really not condusive to an argument. I cringe when I hear sweeping generalizations on all sides. Just because my stance is unwavering doesn't mean I cannot see the other side and their points and where they are coming from and really, really get it. I don't think most of what goes on is right, but then again I was never elected to their whole policy making comittee nor will I ever be. I fail to see how it is a *good* or *Biblical* or even *logical* idea to make a sizable population prisoner in a small portion of land and then essentially siege them. All you get is a combination of p!ssed off people, desperation, and depression. If the logical intent was to get them out of where you were and then either 1. out of sight/out of mind or 2. make them leave, it's failed on both accounts. There is real suffering happening. At least one should acknowledge this and not sweep it under the rug. I have met blind-raging zionists myself who don't even really know the basis of their belief-- they can be scary. I know this. I'm not a fan of people who don't even know their own belief system.

Some of us do see both sides, although not acknowledged in your generalization. Some of us "Zionists" though, realize the pointlessness in discussing our points of view, as their source is non-debatable. I'm not going to waste my time discussing what I see as false in another religion-- and I don't see any point in someone doing that with me. For example, it's a total given that based on my beliefs I would think Mohammed is a false prophet just like it's a given a Muslim would think Yeshua is not G-d. No point in going over that kind of argument here involving Biblical texts. Thus, I am discussing tatreez in an effort to learn more about it and its Palestinean origin, practice, etc., and occasionally enjoying talks on local plants and agriculture, and the ever-popular pumpkins, squash, and tomatoes.

I would love to make aliyah one day, but for now, the closest I will get is the neighbor and have a view into Israel. With the current regime cracking down anyway, I know for sure my husband would never be allowed in, and definately not me either-- he'd probably be let in first at the rate they are going, and his chances are almost zero. I also am perfectly happy not being there at the moment, as my place is elsewhere. I'm ok with waiting years. No big deal in the span of my lifetime. I will, for sure, be bring my tomato seeds though, G-d willing, and Elohim forbid-- I hope there are no squash vine borers.
