GREETINGS ALL,

FIRST THANK YOU SHERIFF ULING FOR ANSWER ON MY I-134. IT WAS CLEAR AFTER YOU GAVE ME THE WINDEX.

AND WHAT ABOUT HER SON......IM NOT SURE WHAT TO PUT THERE ON HIS DS-156.

IT SEEMS LIKE THEY LIKE TO TRY TO TRICK YOU ON THESE FORMS SUCH AS WHAT TO PUT ON QUESTION 17---PUT SPOUSES NAME EVEN IF DIVORCED OR SEPARATED....IM PUTTING NONE. IF ANNULED OR DIVORCED IT IS NOT A SPOUSE!! AM I RIGHT?

IN RELYN'S CASE SHE COMPLETED THE ANNULMENT PROCESS.

This is a very good question.

For #37 of the DS-156, the question is: Are any of the following persons in the US? (it is reworded to ask the question differently) or Do they have US Citizenship? Mark yes or no... (This question is solely to idently the U.S Citizens and has nothing to do with identifying the Visa Applicant(s)).

ANSWER: The only person from the US and who has US Citizenship is of course the U.S. Citizen (USC). Therefore, for the K1 Visa, please check yes to the left of where the fiance/fiancee is located (circle the appropriate title for the USC) and put U.S. Citizen in the space provided to the right. For the remaining boxes, please check off no and put "NONE" in the space provided to the right.

Cheers!!!

Sheriff Uling

for question 37, if they have no immediate relatives in the USA, you would check NO in the boxes, except on your fiancee's you would check Yes for fiance. for her son you would check NO in all the boxes.

on questions 17 & 18, perhaps someone who has had an anulled marriage, can suggest what to enter for that information.

Thank you Ahmari for you patience with these crazy questions. And as Roy and Yazi said because her son is not my fiance then i would select "no" for that but "yes" for Relyn.

And I'm still looking for clarification on listing her ex anywhere on the forms as spouse or former spouse.....its just aggrivating to list him as spouse in any form even if divorced or annuled.

A return CHEERS to all,

Patrick

I can understand the confusion on what to put for those questions. hopefully someone will come along with an answer of what they entered for those questions. if not, perhaps you can post a thread dealing specifically with those questions in the title.

Not unless I'm going crazy, just getting old, or just missed the boat, there is no need or requirement to list any ex-spouses on the DS-156. I don't understand. Please advise...

On the DS 156k on question 4 it asks "If you are now married or previously answer the following".......It also asks "how and when terminated".

Then on DS 156 for questions 17,18,19 it deals with spouse. 17. Marital status...i put divorced even though annuled. 18. it asks spouses full name (even if divorced or separated) 19. it asks spouses date of birth.
