Our approved 129F for K3 was sent to the NVC on 5/12/08 and was randomly selected to go through Administrative Processing. OK. Well, it has been over 4 weeks and we are still in AP. Of course, when I call they say there is no timeframe for AP. My only source of information is to call once a week and see if there is any movement. I am sitting here watching most other K3's flying through the NVC to the embassies and here we are WAITING. Now, this wouldn't be so bad but from what I understand 99.9% of male applicants from Pakistan go through AP after interview. So we will have to go through AP twice? Great !!

Anyone else out there waiting at the NVC? :(

No..... My case spent about 3 days at the NVC. I guess this random AP must be Country specific.

I don't think that the NVC processes cases in order of arrival. Our I-129F petition for K-3 was approved on 5/5/08, which is even a week earlier than your case. However, the NVC automated response system still says that there is no record of our case. I totally understand how you feel when you watch most other K-3 cases being processed within two weeks, but you're still hearing the same recorded message; "there is no record of your case."

I talked to an operator at the NVC, but all he said was to wait for up to 90 days. It made me kind of upset because I spent two hours making so many phonecalls to reach an operator. Most of the times I called, I was automatically switched back to the recorded voice message. I don't know why the system doesn't allow me to wait for live assistance. So I had to hang up the phone, and call up again and again. I also emailed the NVC three times about the status of our case, but I never got any answer from them.

I hope we can hear from the NVC SOON!!

We received a letter from the NVC that said our case would be forwarded to the embassy within a week. That letter was dated 5/15/08. But when our case was not forwarded, I contacted the NVC only to be told we were in AP. K3 visa are not on the automated system. So the only way to find out your status is to write an email or call them and speak to an operator. The best time to call the NVC is early morning. I get through almost every time I have called.

Hope all goes smooth for you :)

We are a K-1 who got held up ( randomly selected ) at NVC for a bit over 40 days. We spent 6 months in AP after the interview, but this was Cairo Embassy. So yes, it is very possible you will have to go through another AP / AR after your interview.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I wish you the very best! Please try to prepare yourself for a long wait, even if by the grace of God it does not happen. There are many here who you can count on for support . I know this link has been posted before, but for what it's worth I will post it again. :

Hi. I know what you are going through. It took CSC 10 months (313 days to be exact) to just approve our K-1. I contacted the senator for help and at times felt hopeless. I saw people that applied after me get approved before me and that was very frustrating and discouraging. Our case finally went to NVC 10 months after we applied and then I was also on AP at NVC. Our case was at NVC for 23 days. Again this was very discouraging after seeing others' case leaving NVC in a few days. Since my fiance is from Pakistan, I know we will go through AP for the third time after the interview. All I can say is try to have patience and hang in there.

Thanks for your words of encouragement. This whole process is just becoming increasingly more frustrating as time goes on. :(:clock:

I think we have the same problem.. We got approved 7-7-08 and we havent received anything from NVC even though on NOA2 it was clearly stated within 2-4 weeks NVC should received our papers and notify us by mail. Then, we called the NVC waited forever and then when I finally spoke to somebody.. same thing... we have to wait for 90 days. It's very frustrating because they are telling us a different thing. USCIS 2-4 weeks then NVC 90 days? Whose fault is it? USCIS or NVC?
